Home away from home
Nick and I have had many dogs and cats throughout our lives. Our two most recent dogs that we lived life with were Boxers. After losing them, we decided to step away from dog ownership. Still having a heart for dogs, we fostered boxers through the Missouri Valley Boxer Club. This organization has allowed our home to be shared with several dogs over the last couple years. Since we are at the mercy of the club for fostering placement, there are gaps of time when our home is missing the quality of life that only dogs provide. Nick and I both work outside the home and our girls attend school. There is some availability to work from home or come home during the day if needed. Besides the daily (and crazy) morning and evening routines with Nick and my kiddos, our home is relaxing and easy-going. We do have a nice sized yard with a 4 foot fence that has lots of room for them to run around as well as a quiet neighborhood to take walks through.

Our trip came with multiple last minute changes and requests. Nick and Shantel were flexible, accommodating, and kind throughout our booking! I’m so appreciative of our paths crossing and having people we can trust with our pups while we’re out of town. Thank you both again for making this trip possible and for caring for our boys.

Schedule
Even though we are a busy family, we all take part in taking care of and loving any dogs that stay with us. Even though we are gone during the day on week days, there is some flexibility to work from home or come home during the day

We try to do what owners do with their dogs. If they are allowed on furniture, they can get in ours. If they are in a crate during the day, they will be here. We ask a lot of questions so the stay will be positive for the dog and for us
A typical day
We love getting on the floor and playing or cuddling with dogs. We have a great neighborhood for walks and play fetch a lot in our backyard.
