***Although I work remotely/from home, I only accept sittings for pets that can be comfortably left alone for at least 4 hours (e.g. no anxious dogs that need someone present 24/7). I’m from California, where I lovingly ran my pet sitting business for 5 years (see reviews). I’ve had Goldens and Labs since I was born, but I’ve watched German Shepherds, Pitbulls, Chihuahas, Staffys, Doodles, and more. I feel comfortable around dogs of all sizes and breeds. I love loving on animals and would be thrilled to meet your pup!

We cannot say enough good things about Shantel! She went above and beyond to care for our kitty Nico and our home while we were away. Not only did Shantel keep our cat safe, happy, and well-loved, but she also took the extra step of keeping our house spotless, which we really appreciated. We highly recommend Shantel and are very fortunate to have had her take care of our kitty. We would absolutely book again!

Schedule
Going on annual leave? I am your person for your holiday getaway! I work remotely, full time for a local university, which means as long as you have WiF, I’m a perfect match for your pet whether they come to my place of I come to yours.

Safety, trust & environment
While walking dogs I am very alert and aware of our surroundings. I want to keep your dog safe from other dogs, cars, and other animals. I keep dogs on leash unless you specify a time and place where it is appropriate to take them off leash. If I am dropping by to help feed or let your dog out, I am trustworthy and reliable. I will make sure your dog gets exactly what you require, and I will leave the house as you specify (for example making sure doors are locked, keys are stored correctly, etc.). During house sits, I also wash all linens, take out trash, vacuum, sweep, and clean up so that you feel like your home is just as you left it when you return.
A typical day
I love to make your dog happy! If that’s going for a walk around the block or cuddling on the couch, I’m your person! For energetic dogs we can play fetch, go for a long walk in the park, or play hide and seek. For older dogs or puppies, I can play with toys or just give them lots of love and affection.
