I work at a school so during summer break I have a ton of free time. I will update my availabilities during the school year based on my breaks. As I have a pretty energetic golden retriever, we already have access to lots of different activities for exercise.

We love morning walks, hikes, runs at the beach during the day and night walks before bed. We also love the park and spend time exploring and sniffing around our neighborhood.

Pet care experience
I always had a pet growing up, one of those family pets that wasn’t all my responsibility. It wasn’t until I graduated from college and moved out here to the Central Coast that I got my own dog. A lovely lab accompanied my life for over 8 years. She crossed the rainbow bridge in 2023 so I adopted a spunky young golden retriever in early 2024 because life is not worth living without a dog by your side. I take a lot of pride in the way that I care for my dog and I love spending quality time, providing structure and having fun with my own! I would want nothing less for you dog. I love living life with dogs and can’t wait to have your pup join our little family.

Shantal is a wonderful dog sitter! Communication was excellent throughout the entire stay, and I felt confident that my dog was in great hands. I have a 4.5yo Golden Retriever, and I initially chose Shantal because she also has a Golden. I'm so glad I did! I received so many adorable photos of the two pups having a great time together. Eli stayed with Shantel for about a day and a half and they went on multiple walks as well as a full hike. You can tell that Shantal genuinely loves dogs and cares about a dog's unique personality and needs. She took time to ask thoughtful questions and chat with my husband and me when we dropped our pup off, which immediately put us at ease. It was clear that our dog was well cared for, had plenty of attention, and truly enjoyed her stay. We will absolutely be booking with Shantal again in the future. When we picked Eli up it was clear that she was calm and happy. 10/10 highly recommend!

Our dog Bentley had such a wonderful time with Shantal and her dog Kala. They went on fun hikes and walks each day which was perfect for my high energy dog. Shantal was a great communicator listening to all the details of our dog's care. I felt confident Bentley was in good hands while we were away. She sent us fun photos of their time out and about. I think Bentley had a blast! Thanks so much Shantal and Kala! We look forward to having Bentley stay with you again!
