What sets me apart is my combination of hands on pet care experience, a deep passion for animal welfare, and years of caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, personalities, and needs. I’ve cared for playful puppies and kittens, energetic adults, senior pets who need extra patience, and shy or anxious animals who need time to feel comfortable and build trust. My experience goes beyond pet sitting. I’m actively involved in animal rescue and fostering and have helped support cats and dogs at risk of euthanasia by connecting them with safe placements and adoption opportunities. This experience has taught me how to read animal behavior, recognize individual needs, build trust, and adjust my approach to each pet’s unique personality. My love for animals also inspired me to create my own pet care business, The Purr and Paw Collective LLC, where my goal is to provide dependable, personalized care that gives pet parents genuine peace of mind. I understand how important it is to know your pets are safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I provide detailed updates and plenty of photos and treat every pet with the same patience, attention, and affection I would want for my own. Whether your dog needs a walk and some playtime, your cat wants interactive play and cuddles, or your pet simply prefers calm companionship and someone nearby, I tailor each visit to them. Your pets aren’t just checked on, they’re genuinely cared for. 🐾💕

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine consistent and their environment comfortable. I follow all feeding, walking, playtime, and medication instructions exactly as provided. I make sure water bowls stay fresh, food areas and litter or potty spaces remain clean, and the home is left tidy after each visit. I pay close attention to behavior, energy levels, and overall well-being, and I provide regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing. My priority is to ensure your pet feels safe, relaxed, and cared for in the space they trust most—their own home.

Shannon took such great care of my kitties!! She left very long and detailed notes after each visit, with 30+ pictures, more than enough info to keep me updated on how each visit went :) she was also so patient with my shy girl rosie. She doesn't warm up to people quickly, but by day 3 she was out and about and playing with Shannon like theyve been friends all along. I would 100% recommend Shannon and her services to anyone needing a loving and caring sitter for their kitties, or any pet!
I honestly couldn’t have picked a better person to look after my boy! Shannon took such good care of my Jeff and treated him with so much love. She sent me detailed updates after every drop in and even noticed and warned me about a potential bowel issue, which I really appreciated. Schedule
I work full-time Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, but pet care fits naturally into my evenings and weekends. I do work from home 4 days a week and can drop in during the day if needed as well. I’m available for visits after work, as well as throughout the weekends, and I make sure each pet gets my full attention, consistency, and care during those times. My schedule allows me to provide reliable support for families who need evening check-ins, weekend care, or flexible coverage outside standard work hours.

- The more I know about your pet, the better I can provide personalized, stress-free care! Please let me know about your pet’s daily routine, feeding schedule, medications, favorite activities, energy level, and any behavioral quirks or triggers. I’d also love to know how they interact with new people, other animals, and any commands or routines they’re familiar with. For dogs, please include leash behavior, potty schedule, and any reactivity or escape tendencies. For cats, let me know about litter box preferences, hiding spots, favorite toys, and how they prefer to be approached. If there are any medical conditions, allergies, anxieties, or special care instructions, please share those as well. My goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable and cared for as possible while you’re away, so no detail is too small!
