Beyond pet sitting, I’ve also hosted adoption events and built a network with local shelters, including supporting dogs on euthanasia lists by helping them find safe placements. This work has taught me how to read behavior, build trust quickly, and provide gentle, loving care to dogs who may be anxious or shy. My background as a previous dog mom helps me understand how important peace of mind is. I care for every dog with the same attention, love, and safety I wanted for my own. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine consistent and their environment comfortable. I follow all feeding, walking, playtime, and medication instructions exactly as provided. I make sure water bowls stay fresh, food areas and litter or potty spaces remain clean, and the home is left tidy after each visit. I pay close attention to behavior, energy levels, and overall well-being, and I provide regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing. My priority is to ensure your pet feels safe, relaxed, and cared for in the space they trust most—their own home.

Shannon is amazing! I've known her for over 10 years and she LOVES animals. She has taken care of my pets (2 cats & a husky) several times & they LOVE when Shannon comes over. Shannon has the biggest heart of anyone I've ever known. She's great with her cats & has lots of experience with them. She also Fostered a dog that she did very well with, that I ended up adopting. She continues to check in on him and I send pictures. She's always been there for any advice I may need to help me with my furbabies. I would highly recommend her to take care of your pets, weather that's for a walk or pet sitting. You'll never have any worries at all leaving your furbabies in Shannon's care.
Shannon is so great with my pups. They're a bit of a handful energy-wise, but she's patient and calm. To me, that says she really gets how to handle dogs. She's on time, trustworthy and she reinforces their training by using the commands they've learned. It's a huge relief that I don't have to worry when they're with Shannon, she really does care for my dogs as if they were her own. Highly recommend!

Schedule
I work full-time Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, but pet care fits naturally into my evenings and weekends. I do work from home 4 days a week and can drop in during the day if needed as well. I’m available for visits after work, as well as throughout the weekends, and I make sure each pet gets my full attention, consistency, and care during those times. My schedule allows me to provide reliable support for families who need evening check-ins, weekend care, or flexible coverage outside standard work hours.
