Safety, trust & environment

I will cater to the dogs needs and adjust how I act depending on visual signs. I’m ready to run and puppy around to get out energy. I’m prepared for a dog who is scared and will take time to get use to me.

Information Shannon S. would like to know about your pet

Definitely special needs and what their own "signs" mean. Their own routine so I know how to keep the dog under that routine. Dogs react differently to things so knowing what type of dog you have in terms of friendliness or shyness. If I start to notice the dog is feeling nervous around me, I will work with the dog around their trust. If they keep getting over excited, I will play with them to tire them out.

A typical day

This will depend where your housing is but I try to take the dogs around in different ways to keep them mentally stimulated to new. Also taking them the areas when I can run or play around in a more open space is prioritized

Pet care experience

I have grown up with dogs in my life since day one. I have learned how to take care of puppies with high energy to old dogs that need help going out to the bathroom. I have been dog watching for over 8 years and I am used to working with Rover. I’m also available for weekly/reoccurring meetings!

Shannon took care of Bennie at my home for 2 nights/3 days. Everything went well, she was very responsive. She took him to some nice wooded trails for walks. The house was clean and Bennie was content when I returned. I would definitely have her walk Bennie and/or house sit again.
