Obsessed with dogs & training!

I’ve spent my whole life surrounded by dogs, from tiny 8lb pups to gentle giants up to 155lbs. Over the years, I’ve fostered dogs and puppies, trained my own, and loved them all like family. I currently have a 6-year-old Australian Shepherd who has a big personality—she’s playful, energetic, and keeps me on my toes! She’s also a bit of an alpha female, so she tends to do best with dogs who aren’t overly dominant or constantly in her face. Most dogs she meets become her buddies, but because she’s picky, I require a meet-and-greet before confirming any booking. This helps ensure your pup, my pup, and I are all a great fit. Because my dog is high-energy, we get plenty of playtime, walks, and outdoor time around here. My dog is my baby, and I’ll treat yours the exact same way—I know how stressful it can feel to leave your pup with someone new. My goal is to make you feel at ease and build a lasting bond with both you and your dog. I also love training and would be happy to keep up with any commands or routines you’re working on while you’re away. A couple of notes: I do have a cat. She’s very dog-savvy and used to being chased, but if your pup isn’t good with cats, we might not be the best match. Since I share walls with neighbors, overly vocal dogs may not be the best fit either. Pick-ups must be completed by 8pm. If you’re unable to pick up by then, an additional night of boarding will be charged. I’m always happy to talk through this if you have questions. I’m excited to meet you and your fur baby!

We’re so glad to have found Shannon to keep Bean while we were away. I’m not entirely sure Bean wanted to come home, he had such a great time. Shannon communicated each day to give us assurance that Bean was doing well. Highly recommend working with Shannon!

Shannon was wonderful to work with. I felt completely comfortable with leaving Sister with Shannon and Scout after our meet and greet. We received multiple updates and would definitely have Sister stay with them again.

Shannon is the best. She’s watched our girls quite a few times now and they absolutely love being there with her and Scout! Shannon is attentive, shares frequent updates, and loves our girls like we do. Highly, highly recommend her!

Schedule

I work a hybrid schedule, so I’m home 3–4 days a week. Every morning starts with a 15-minute walk so the dogs can stretch their legs and get their sniffs in. On the days I’m home, we also take a midday walk to break up the day. After work, we go for a longer 15–30 minute walk, and later in the evening we wind down with another stroll. In between, I keep plenty of toys around the house, so there’s always time for play, fetch, or just some silly fun.

Safety, trust & environment

I like to follow whatever rules you have in place for your dog. I personally believe that dog's thrive off of structure so therefore when my dog stays somewhere, I like that her daily routine is continued. I will do my best to accommodate your dog's daily routine as well while they stay with me.

Pets

A typical day

There’s never a shortage of playtime at my house, plus daily walks to keep the pups happy and active. When the weather is nice, I love bringing my dog along on adventures, and if your pup is up for it, I’d be thrilled to include them in our outings around Charleston. I also have lots of friends with friendly dogs, so with your okay, your pup can join in on playdates for even more fun and social time.
