Pet care experience

LOVE playing with and walking dogs!

I grew up with dogs and have a mini Aussie/Heeler of my own currently that loves other dogs. I work from home, so I’m able to play throughout the day and take dogs for multiple walks. We are definitely a dog friendly house, so you can rest assured your sweet dog would get a lot of attention and play time. In addition to our dog, we have three small children in our home as well as a cat. Because of this, we do not board dogs with any aggressive tendencies, dogs that jump up on people, or dogs that bark excessively. If you want your dog to be well cared for and doted upon, then I’m the pet sitter for you! I will happily send you photo or video updates of your doggo to make your time apart less difficult. I love dogs of all sizes and have experience watching/owning dogs of all sizes.

Shannon and her family had Frankie, a 3 year old Australian Shepherd, at her house for 6 nites while we headed east for a wedding. Frankie quickly became part of the family! Shannon regularly sent pictures with comments letting us know Frankie was safe, happy and enjoying his time. We will not hesitate to have him stay with Shannon again. We’re so thankful we found Shannon and her lovely family.

Zoya had the best time with Shannon and her family! She helped us with arranging a visit for Wedding Day photos too! We couldn’t have found anyone better!

Schedule

I have a flexible schedule and primarily work from home. If I’m gone throughout the day, it’s never more than 2 hours at a time.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 1 dog, 1 cat
Children 0-5 years old
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Safety, trust & environment

I have one very friendly dog that weighs about 26 pounds and my house is dog friendly, so your pup can get cozy on the couch if it wants to. We have a lot of dog toys and go for multiple walks each day.

Pets

A typical day

A typical day includes a morning walk, tossing a ball around outside, playing indoors with toys, an afternoon walk (if the pavement isn’t too hot), more playing at the house, and an evening walk to the park or creek to chase sticks and run around.

Cats
0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
Unspayed females accepted, neutered males only
No females in heat
Shannon can host up to 2 pets per night
I don’t take aggressive dogs. If your dog destroys things when unattended (sometimes I’m gone for up to 2 hours during the day) I request that you bring a crate for your dog.
