Availability
I work part-time from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks and drop-ins. I’m available on weekdays and most weekends, so it’s easy for me to fit consistent, reliable care into my schedule.

Safety, trust & environment
My priority is making pets feel safe and comfortable. In a client’s home, I follow your routines closely - feeding, walks, and medications are all done exactly the way your pet is used to. I keep doors secured, double-check leashes and harnesses before every walk, and pay close attention to each pet’s body language so they never feel stressed or rushed. My goal is to create a calm, predictable environment so your pet feels secure and cared for while you’re away.
Information Shannon R. would like to know about your pet
Before any visit, it’s helpful for me to know about your pet’s routines, medications, quirks, and any behaviors I should watch for. This includes things like reactivity on walks, separation anxiety, allergies, feeding schedules, mobility issues, or anything that helps me care for them safely and comfortably. The more I know up front, the better I can support your pet’s needs.
A typical day
I keep pets engaged in ways that match their energy and personality. For active dogs, that might mean walks, playtime, fetch, or a good sniff-adventure around the neighborhood. For more relaxed pups, I’m all about gentle strolls, belly rubs, and keeping them company. My focus is on making sure they feel happy, stimulated, and cared for while you’re away.

Dependable Care for Pet Parents
Pet care experience
I grew up in the country and have spent my whole life around animals—dogs, cats, and even horses. I currently share my home with a young Australian Retriever who keeps me active and entertained. I also recently cared for my senior dog through several years of diabetes that required twice-daily insulin, so I’m very comfortable with medication routines and supporting pets with special needs.
Reviews
We highly recommend Shannon! She is an absolutely amazing dog caregiver! She’s reliable, communicative, and genuinely cares about the dogs. I always feel confident knowing she’s taking care of them!
Shannon has watched my dog numerous times over the years. From as far back as a pup to his senior years now. I have a job that requires me to be out of town occasionally for weeks or even months at a time, and she takes great care him. I'm home more now, but I still take Cash over to see her and let him have play time with her pup, he gets so excited when he know we're going to visit. She treats him like part of the family because that's what he is when he's there.
Shannon is one of those rare people that animals immediately feel safe with. She has a natural warmth, patience, and attentiveness that pets truly respond to. At home, she cares for a special-needs pet who requires daily extra attention and consistency, and she handles it with calm, compassion, and incredible dedication. That experience alone speaks volumes about her ability to provide safe, loving, and reliable care. Shannon also pet-sits for others regularly, and I’ve seen firsthand how seriously she takes that responsibility. She notices the small details, follows routines precisely, and always makes sure each pet feels comfortable and cared for, whether it’s during walks, feedings, or simple companionship. She’s the type of person who communicates clearly, shows up early, and goes the extra mile without being asked. Her love for animals is genuine, and her reliability is unmatched. Any pet parent would be lucky to have Shannon looking after their furry family member, and I recommend her wholeheartedly for Rover.
