Animal lover at heart
I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. It never mattered if they were furry or scaly. I’ve never gone a day without a pet or four as part of my family and I hope I never have to. My family and I always adopted smaller dogs (Yorkshires, malteses, and snchauzers), but I have pet sat much larger breeds (Rottweiler mix, pit bull mix, husky, etc.) and loved it. Although I have a soft spot in my heart for small dogs, nothing can beat a good run or long walk with a bigger breed. I love getting out and moving, but my sweet little dog can’t go very far with me. I’m hoping with rover I’ll get to enjoy some furry company for longer walks/jogs. I have experience caring for senior dogs, one having gone through chemotherapy, a couple others with surgery recovery. I’m good with picky eaters, troublemakers, and puppy energy. There’s just something about an animal that makes being patient really easy.

I’m not planning on using my home for any services because I have a couple cats who wouldn’t appreciate it, but for visiting clients I’m more than happy to abide by any boundaries. I’m also comfortable with pet or nanny cameras. I have a couple I use at home for when I’m away too and they always put my mind at ease about how my babies are doing.

Shannon was very communicative and detailed throughout each visit. She was very timely to each visit and if for any reason she was running late, she reached out to inform me. She kept me updated throughly and we felt more comfortable knowing exactly what our dogs were doing through her communication which allowed us to relax and enjoy our getaway trip. She will definitely be our first pick when we have our next trip. Thank you again Shannon 💞
We needed a last minute sitter for our cat for a long weekend away. We were so happy Shannon was available to spend time with him and flexible around our travel plans. She was an excellent communicator and kept us up to date on her visits despite some tech issues with the Rover app. We so appreciated her notes and photos and loved hearing/seeing how much our cat enjoyed her attention!
Shannon very nice and rascal took to her immediately. She arrived in time and took rascal for his walk. I would definitely would recommend and use her again to walk my dog rascal.
Shannon is the textbook definition of an animal lover. From hand deboning chicken, to buying toys every time she’s at the store, she makes sure her critters live like royalty. She has a huge soft spot for pets of any kind, and will make sure to extend her love for them to be the best pet caregiver she can.
Shannon is fondly known at my house as the puppy princess. Louie howls when she leaves. She is equally wonderful with our two cats and the other two dogs.
Shannon is a huge animal lover. She has a few pets and cares deeply for them; if you interact with her for more than a few minutes you'll quickly realize how much she loves all of her animals. I've had her watch my cat on a few occasions and she took amazing care of her.

Schedule
I work a flexible remote job as a Senior Software Developer, so I have an easy schedule to work with. I have 3 cats at home and a Yorkshire mix who I love getting to work at home with. I don’t really need a side hustle, but I’ve always loved pet sitting for friends and thought I’d give this a try.
