Hi there! I’m Shannon, a lifelong animal lover with over 15 years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities (plus plenty of cats, rabbits, chickens, turtles, fish, and even hedgehogs along the way). I started pet sitting casually as a teenager and officially joined Rover in 2022. I did pet care part time while also working as a server and applying for Masters programs. I graduated this past summer from URI’s Masters of Environmental Science & Management program and have since transitioned into pet care full time and I couldn’t be happier. Spending my days walking, playing, and snuggling with animals feels like the most rewarding work in the world.

Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priority. I follow any routines or instructions closely and always take the time to build trust with each animal. I keep spaces tidy, give plenty of affection and enrichment, and stay in close communication with regular updates and photos so you always feel at ease while you’re away.

Schedule
Pet care is my full-time work, so I have lots of flexibility. I build my schedule around the needs of the pets I care for and will do my best to accommodate anything from quick walks to extended stays. Please note that for walks or drop in visits before 8am or after 7pm, there is an additional $10 charge per visit. If you are looking for constant care (looking after your pet for a set number of hours without the ability to leave your home, akin to babysitting), I charge $45 per hour. This rate will be adjusted in your booking request before accepting the stay.
