House w/no other pets or children!
We are Shannon and Lee! We are an active and healthy couple in our mid 40's (no children and non-smoking), clean, quiet and peaceful household with no other pets. It will be just your pets (and myself and Lee) staying here in our home, just one pet-sit at a time. We have decades of experience being with/caring for cats and dogs. Our spacious house is located on a very private and quiet street at the end of a couldesac (in a central easy-access location just before the town of Manitou Springs) with a fenced-in yard so your pets will be very safe here; we are also a short 7 minute walk to the Garden of the Gods trails. We are happy to provide your pets with daily exercise in nature (as part of our boarding/house-sitting service); an easy walk from our home, no car rides needed. I am very easy going and flexible, I am happy to do whatever is needed to make your pets (as well as their pet parent) most of all feel comfortable. I have a special fondness and compassion for shy pets as well; I have been known to make even the shyest of pets comfortable and come out to play/visit, with my gentle affection. I had the dearest cat named Snickers for 15 years and she was very very shy and sweet, and over-time with my love and attention she grew to be not as shy. I also had numerous golden retrievers (as well as numerous cats, bunnies, etc) growing up, since I was born. We are a duo team Lee and I, so if one person happens to be down for a bit, the other can fiill in! We take our committment to watching after pets extremely seriously. Over the decades, I (as well as Lee) have also taken care of numerous other pets; from landlord's pets, to neighbor's pets, friend's pets. ***I am happy knowing that I have made a loving impact on a pet's heart*** I hope to give your pets the care and love that they deserve, while their pet parents are away.

This is the second time I’ve left Mia with Shannon and LeeS. I always love leaving Mia with them. They take such good care of her and Mia seems to really like it there!
Shannon and Lee were once again just fabulous with our senior dog!
From our meet and greet, until we picked up our fur baby after a 3 day stay, Shannon and Lee were exceptionally conscientious caregivers for our senior dog. Our dog was super calm when we picked him up, so it was obvious how well he was taken care of in our absence. They were very kind and accommodating of our senior dog’s needs. Because of our dog’s arthritis, they allowed us to bring an enclosure, rather than a crate where our dog could sleep. They administered his medication on the same schedule as at home, ensuring he stayed pain free and leash walked him so he would not overexert himself which could have caused him pain. We trust Shannon and Lee so much after this first visit, we will most definitely book with them again, and you will be very happy with the care received if you choose them to watch your precious pets.
Shannon & Lee were absolutely amazing to Mia. From the moment I dropped her off, I could tell she was in the best hands. They updated me frequently with pictures and texts, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Each update showed Mia looking happy, relaxed, and well cared for. They really went the extra mile to make sure she felt at home. They made sure Mia got plenty of sunshine and nap time, creating a perfect balance of play and rest during her stay. It was clear they paid attention to her needs and personality, treating her with the same love and care they would give their own pet. On top of all that, Shannon & Lee provided me with some stunning photos of Mia that I will cherish forever. The quality and thoughtfulness behind each picture really warmed my heart. It’s not every day you find caretakers who are not only responsible and attentive but also so thoughtful and creative. I can't recommend them highly enough. If you're looking for someone who will love your pet like family, Shannon & Lee are the perfect choice. Mia and I are both so grateful!
We can’t rave enough about Shannon and Lee. We felt so comfortable and at ease while our pup was in their care. Shannon was kind enough to send many great photos during the stay so we could see just how well things were going. Can’t recommend enough!
Shannon and Lee were fabulous pet and house sitters! Their communication is impeccable. They are quick to send pictures and let us know how our fur babies were doing. They were very thorough with dog details and extremely clean. They left the house cleaner than when they arrived! I highly recommend Shannon and Lee and we truly hope they will come back sometime.

Schedule
I will give a lot of time and attention to your pets while staying in our home, or your home on both the weekdays as well as weekends. My schedule (I am home all day) is especially helpful for pets that have anxiety or are very shy or can't be alone for long, I am happy to give your pets all the love and attention that they would like or require while their pet parents are away.

Safety, trust & environment
I will watch after your pets very closely (even cats will be very safe here)!! Close supervision will be given when outside as well; our home provides a fully fenced in yard with plenty of trees for shade, I can ALWAYS be outside supervising your pets (as well as keep them on a leash if that is preferred) when they are outside. Whether in your home, or our home, I will be with them most of the day, if not all day. Our home is on a very QUIET and private street at the end of a couldesac with just a few neighbors around, your pets will be very safe here with us. We are also more than happy to accommodate any special needs for your pets, including any special dietary needs (I am happy to prepare special and healthy meals for your pets). I am happy to attend to/administer (oral) medicine to pets that are ill/need special care and attention. Worried about your pets on New Year’s Eve and 4th of July? In Manitou Springs where we live you don’t hear any fireworks, besides the 9pm pikes peak fireworks which sound faint from our home. Let your pets stay here with us and they will be safe and given extra attention on these holidays.
A typical day
If your pets are staying in our home, we are a 7 minute walk to the beautiful Garden of the Gods trails, no car rides necessary to get your pets some fun and nature-filled exercise! We are a very active and healthy couple, we typically like to take dogs on one longer hike in the morning, and sometimes a shorter walk in the late afternoon/evening; and this includes winter as well (we are happy to take your pets on as many hikes/walks as they are used to). Pets are welcome on furniture/beds if that is something they are used to (otherwise we can keep them off furniture too). If preferred I will not have your dog(s) interact with other dogs on the trail as well for their protection. Your dogs may also enjoy hanging out with me in our fenced in spacious yard with plentiful trees for shade and comfort. Your pet(s) will get lots of love and attention from me throughout the day since i will be here with them all day. Current promotion for first 3 bookings (minimum 1 week booking): free professional digital photos of your pets! Thereafter, from time to time I may surprise pet parents with professional photos of their pets/can provide this service for a small fee.

- I only accept non-aggressive breed dogs (no pitbulls/german shephards, etc). Anxious and shy, senior, disabled pets are welcome and will be well cared for in our home, or your home! We do not accept pets that are not house-trained. * For pets needing extra care including medicine administration/senior pets requiring out of the ordinary attention/care about 14 years or older, please inquire about rates there may be a surcharge of $15 per night or more. For pet boardings in our home/sits in your home, we can do a quick chat, and then a meet and greet for dogs if needed. Please inquire if more than 3 pets, if it’s 2 cats and 2 dogs we can probably help. Just inquire if more than 3 pets and we can probably help you. Also inquire for larger dogs over 101 pounds we can probably help for additional fee. For last-minute bookings requested within 48 hours (or any late pick-ups), an additional fee may apply.
