I work from home, so your pet naturally becomes part of my daily routine and my WFH companion. I’m home throughout the day, which means your dog or cat isn’t left alone for long stretches and gets steady attention, care, and company. I build my schedule around breaks for walks, playtime, feeding, litter care, and cuddle time, so their needs are consistently met without rushing. Whether it’s a dog needing a midday walk or a cat wanting a quiet presence nearby, I’m there and available. Having pets with me during the workday makes it easy to give them real companionship, not just quick check-ins. They’re included in my day as my little WFH buddies, keeping me company while I make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for.

Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, my focus is always on safety, routine, and making them feel as comfortable and secure as possible. In your home, I do my best to keep everything as close to your pet’s normal routine as possible so they feel safe in their familiar environment. I follow feeding schedules exactly, keep walk times consistent, refresh water, clean up after them, and make sure they get plenty of attention, play, and calm companionship. I’m mindful of keeping doors, gates, and entry points secure, and I always double check leashes, collars, and any safety instructions you provide. I also keep your home tidy and respected, treating it as if it were my own. If your pet is in my home, they are treated like part of the family in a calm, clean, and pet-friendly space. I keep a watchful but relaxed environment where they can feel comfortable, get regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and rest. I make sure they have a safe space to settle in, and I never leave pets unsupervised in situations where they could get stressed or into trouble. I have a huge fenced in yard, plenty of play space!!! Across both settings, communication is important to me—I provide updates so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is simple: your pet should feel safe, cared for, and relaxed, and you should feel complete trust while you’re away.

I focus on creating a consistent, low-stress environment so pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. For young pets, I reinforce basic training habits like potty routines, leash manners, crate comfort, and positive behavior reinforcement so they continue building good habits. For senior dogs and cats, I’m attentive to mobility needs, medication schedules, slower pacing on walks, and subtle changes in behavior or appetite that can indicate health concerns. I’m also comfortable caring for multi-pet households and adjusting to each animal’s individual temperament—whether that means giving an energetic dog structured exercise or giving a shy cat space and quiet reassurance. Communication is a priority for me, so owners can expect regular updates, photos, and honest check-ins so they always know how their pets are doing. Overall, I treat every dog and cat like they’re part of my own home, with a focus on safety, routine, and genuine care tailored to their specific needs.

Our energetic puppy, Milo, absolutely adores her, and somehow Shannon also won over our sweet senior girl, Daisy, who usually takes a while to warm up to people. She treats both dogs like they’re her own — giving Milo all the playtime, attention, and patience a puppy needs, while also making sure Daisy gets the gentle care, comfort, and slower pace she deserves. We always get the sweetest updates, photos, and little notes that make us feel completely at ease while we’re away. It’s such a relief knowing our dogs are not only safe, but genuinely loved and happy with Shannon. The excitement on their faces when they see her says everything. Our puppy stayed with Shannon for several days, and the experience could not have gone better. Puppies are unpredictable, energetic, and constantly getting into things, but Shannon handled everything so naturally and confidently. She created such a calm and welcoming environment that our puppy settled in almost immediately. What stood out most was how much individual attention and interaction our puppy received. Shannon was intentional about playtime, routines, and making sure our puppy felt secure and comfortable away from home. You could tell she genuinely enjoys being around animals and pays attention to their personalities and needs. By the time we came back, our puppy was happy, well cared for, and clearly very attached to Shannon. It is rare to find someone you feel fully comfortable leaving a young dog with, and we would not hesitate to book with her again
Leaving our dogs with someone else is always stressful, especially because our oldest dog has significant medical needs and takes several medications throughout the day. Shannon exceeded every expectation we had. She welcomed all three of our dogs into her home and cared for them with an incredible level of patience, kindness, and attention to detail. Our senior dog can be high-maintenance, but Shannon never made us feel like it was a burden. She stayed on top of medications, monitored everyone closely, and made sure each dog felt comfortable and settled. You can tell she genuinely loves animals and understands how important it is for pet parents to feel informed and reassured while away. By the end of their stay, it was obvious our dogs felt completely at ease with her. We are so thankful to have found someone we can fully trust with our pets and would recommend Shannon without hesitation.
