Availability
While on sabbatical from work, my schedule is as flexible as it gets. I provide dogs four outside breaks a day at 7am, 12pm, 5pm and 9pm. Of course, we can adjust to whatever works best for your pup. And if the day is nice and the schedule allows, I have portable water bowls and a backpack for pet supplies, so we can make a day of it at the park or a hiking trail.

The onsite dog park is fenced and has a gate code. Our entire complex is protected by security 24/7. I have a child-free, non-smoking home. I trust emergency veterinary needs with Veterinary Emergency Group. If your dog has pre-scheduled vet appointments, I’m happy to take them to their doctor. The complex is very dog-friendly, so your pup will likely make a few new friends very quickly. It’s also very quiet, so if your dog is anxious, it’s a perfect calm setting. I do not have any other pets beside Teddy. No spouse or children, so your fur baby is my focus. All dogs are welcome on the furniture, in the bed, or in the crate. The goal is to make them feel as comfortable as they are in their own homes.

Information Shannon L. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog: 1. Has any dietary needs or allergies. We have a house full of treats, and we’re happy to share, if allowed. 2. Has any reactivity or socialization needs to be aware of. This way, I can ensure that we are in the off-leash park only when no other dogs are there
A typical day
Teddy and I are outside roughly every 4-5 hours on a potty break, an enrichment walk, or park time. We love playing fetch and tug of war. I’m also always training my boy on a new skill or trick, and am happy to help train or reinforce skills with your pup!

Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs throughout my life, and now, my best friend (Teddy) and I would love to welcome your fur baby to our home! My home is a 3-minute walk to the Beltline, 10-minute walk to Piedmont Park, and I have a fenced, off-leash dog park in my super dog friendly neighborhood. If you have a favorite dog park (even Fetch), happy to bring them there too. My dog Teddy is the perfect companion to your pup. He’s friendly and social, but enjoys doing his own thing a lot too. He meshes well with practically any dog personality and is great about sharing his toys, bones and favorite lounge spots. I welcome dogs of all sizes, ages, and those with special needs and/or medical needs.

Reviews

Shannon was very attentive and caring to Lucky. Will be going back to her on my next trip.

Shannon and Teddy are great! I received so many photos and videos of my dog while he stayed with them and he looked so happy in all of them! My dog was also exhausted when he got home so I know he got lots of good playtime. Shannon is very responsive and took care of my boy like he was her own. I totally recommend Shannon and will rebook in the future!
Shannon is kind, trustworthy, and a natural with dogs. She watched my dog Toby when I was out of town and she took the best care of him! My dog and her dog Teddy are besties!
Shannon is the best dog sitter around! She has kept my mini poodle a few times- the latest was when I went out of the country for a long weekend trip and I felt totally at ease leaving my little buddy with her! She provided such a loving home away for home for him that he almost didn’t want to leave with me when I picked him up! If your dog loves and needs company, her dog Teddy is the best companion and loves to play… definitely give Shannon a chance to care for your dog— you won’t regret it!
