I work part time as a Property Manager for short term rentals. I also clean the (pet friendly) condos between guests. I’m home more than I am not since much of my job I can do remotely. I also am able to make my own schedule the vast majority of the time. Generally, I am available anytime with a small bit of notice. (Just ask!) I can also accommodate late night walks for my Service Industry brethren.

Every pet has different needs and expectations. Only a pet parent knows exactly what is best for their pets. I am deeply respectful of your rules around how to care for one of the most important beings in your life. You would be welcome to come into my home to assure yourself it is going to be comfortable and safe for your pet. I do not have children so it is a stress free and quiet environment. Or, I am happy to turn up the tv or radio, open the windows and sing out loud if that’s what is comfortable for your pet! My apartment has a small fenced in area in front that is exclusively mine where I garden and read in warmer months. Indoors, there is space for a crate if your pet is more comfortable with their own enclosed area with items that smell like home. All of my furniture is clean but pet friendly. If you prefer, I can disallow your pet from using the sofa/ bed. If your fur baby is more comfortable staying in their home, the same respect will apply. Your privacy is only secondary to care for your pet. I am able to spend as much or as little time in your home as you like. Pet sitter cameras are expected and perfectly okay with me. Following your instructions is paramount, regardless of where I care for your pet(s). I aim to make your life a little easier by providing this type of service that also brings me joy and reward.

I will need information about what to expect from your pet. Behavior-in-training or stubborn habits does not disqualify you from the care you need. If your pet has any type of special needs I expect honest communication about that and am happy to help! Non-pet related, I would appreciate insight into parking around your home if that is where you intend to use my services. This allows me to plan alternative transportation if parking will be problematic so that I can spend as much time as you need me to with your pup or kitty.
A typical day
You might be busy meeting an impossible deadline or taking extra shifts or need to leave town for a bit. I’m here to help. I adore the ribbon stick with cats. Who can’t laugh at that? Playing fetch works with cats or dogs, but I’ll need a willing animal to indulge me! If I’m allowed, pets and cuddles are the best! Of course, a potty outing doesn’t just have to be all business. I like to explore the next block, too, and some exercise is great for me as well! Spending time with me should be a fun and special experience (to keep anxiety down) so owner approved treats and catnip can help.

Pet care experience
My near ground level home is in a quiet neighborhood with a small fenced in yard. Short or long walks are stress free, especially with so many pet loving neighbors. Senior dogs or dogs that may have stair issues would be very comfortable. I have had my own animals from babies to end-of-life all of my life. Until I can financially accommodate having them again, I will happily care for yours! I am respectful of what you dictate as rules for your pet, including treats and feeding, and allowing contact with others. If your fur baby is more comfortable in their own home, your privacy is my second priority after your pet, of course. I’ve cleaned up after the grossest of them all, adult bar patrons, so cleaning up after your pet is a non issue! You already have enough on your plate, let me help by taking these duties for a short time.

Shannon was great with the dogs and very flexible with pick ups and drop offs which was amazing!
Shannon lives down the street from me, and we first got to know each other during my daily walks with my two dogs. She always made a point to stop, say hello, and give them attention. It was obvious right away how comfortable and natural she is with animals. Over time, I trusted her to care for my dogs whenever I travel, and she has been absolutely wonderful. One of my dogs has specific medical needs and both are on special diets. She has always been incredibly attentive and conscientious about following my instructions carefully. It gives me real peace of mind. She is communicative, patient, dependable, and genuinely loving with animals. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone responsible and trustworthy to care for their pets. She treats them like her own.
