Your Pet’s Day, Done the Right Way

Hi! I’m Shannon and animals have been a meaningful part of my life for the past 18 years. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes—from Rottweilers and Huskies to Chihuahua mixes—and cats ranging from kittens to senior shorthair and longhair breeds, including Sphynx cats. I’ve also cared for small pets like turtles and rabbits, and even have light experience with exotics and reptiles. What you can expect from me is reliable, attentive care. I’m patient and observant and I take time to understand your pet’s personality, boundaries, and comfort level—especially if they are shy, sensitive, or building confidence. Safety is my priority on every walk and visit, and I stay aware of my surroundings, carefully follow feeding and medication routines, and protect your pet’s well-being as if they were my own. I know how important trust and communication are when it comes to your pet and your home. That’s why I send check-ins at arrival and departure, plus photos, videos, and notes so you’re always informed. Whether your pet needs structure, enrichment, calm companionship, or active play, I adjust to their needs and meet them where they are. I currently offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting within a 35-mile radius of the 20001 area. I look forward to meeting you and caring for your pet with professional, loving attention.

Shannon was an amazing sitter! My new rescue dog is really timid and she was incredibly kind and patient with her. She was wonderfully communicative and sent the sweetest photos and updates! I can tell Birdie had a great time!!!

Shannon did a great job taking care of my 2 cats and my house while I was away on business for several days. My cats are both rescues and a little skittish but they really warmed up to Shannon quickly. One even let Shannon pick her up. Highly recommend.

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into my schedule because I work evenings. That means I’m fully available for daytime walks, drop-ins, and home visits, and I’m able to provide consistent care throughout the day. During house sitting, I stay overnight and only step out briefly when your pet is resting or settled. My schedule allows me to maintain your pet’s routine without disruption.

Safety, trust & environment

I create a calm, structured, and safe environment for pets in my care. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, I follow your routines closely and keep safety as my top priority. My home has a spacious living area and secure balcony, and only pet-safe areas are accessible. I maintain a clean environment, use supervised exercise and enrichment, and always monitor behavior and comfort levels. Trust and peace of mind matter, so I treat every pet and home with the same respect as my own.

A typical day

A typical day depends on your pet’s needs. For dogs, I include structured walks, outdoor sniff breaks, and mental stimulation through training games and enrichment toys. For cats, I tailor engagement to their energy level—interactive play, window watching, or calm companionship. I balance activity with rest, maintain feeding and potty schedules, and add enrichment for both physical and emotional well-being. Every pet gets individual attention and a routine designed specifically for them.

Please share any important details about your pet’s: • Daily routine and schedule • Feeding instructions + dietary notes • Medications or supplements • Behaviors or triggers (reactivity, separation anxiety, sensitivities) • Social preferences with people and other animals • House rules (couch, crate, training cues, etc.) The more I know, the better I can provide safe, personalized care that supports your pet’s routine and comfort.
