My unique journey to NW Arkansas has provided me with strong foundational knowledge on animal welfare and safety, as well as an unparalleled perspective on pet wellbeing and happiness, ensuring both you and your fur-babies are satisfied with my service. ♥️😸 Relevent experience: - Pet owner for 15+ years (🐢,🐈⬛,🐈) - Kennel Attendent for 2 years - Veterinary Assistant for 1 year - Laboratory Researcher (using animal models) for 4 years - Keeper Aide (Small Mammal) at Smithsonian National Zoo for 2 years - Attended 1 year of Veterinary School (University of Pennsylvania 2018) - Previous Anatomy (laboratory dissections) and Ornithology (bird biology) instructor at UARK - Previous volunteer at Northsong Wild Bird Rehabilitation - Field Biologist and UARK Graduate Student for the past 6 years (Thesis on Eastern Bluebird ecology and wildlife conservation) Previously, I had successful stays with a variety of pets on Rover (big and small, young and old). While I am coming back to pet sitting with the app after several years of being inactive, I definitely look forward to starting anew and meeting new clients and their fur babies in NWA. With my veterinary background, I am comfortable administering medications and I would be happy to discuss any other exceptional and/or lingering requests you may have.

Safety, trust & environment
Depending on the client's home type, I will adjust each visit accordingly. With a fenced in yard, potty breaks will be a breeze and we may enjoy the spring weather with running around. Otherwise, I will quickly research a safe and reasonable walking path or find a local park to take your loved one(s). In the home, I assume the pet will have spots they find cozy and relaxing and I am more than happy/willing to 'go to them', giving them some love and attention in the areas they feel most comfortable.

Shannon is wonderful! She got our skittish cat to come out, asked clarifying questions, and left detailed reports. I appreciated her thoroughness and felt my kitty was in good hands. She also kindly brought in some packages we had delivered. We would definitely book with her again.
Shannon was amazing with our 2 pups! She was extremely thorough, did everything asked of her, and went above and beyond in her attention to detail and care. She even handled my crazy 2 y/o spaniel with grace 🤪 I am so thankful to have used her as our Rover and will in future as well!

The best of the best!!!! Shannon is beyond incredible. She is the first and only person I have booked with on Rover so far, and I could not be happier with the care she provided for my fur babies. She kept me updated throughout the entire stay and was incredibly thorough in making sure everything was done right. Her work ethic is outstanding, and she is genuinely one of the sweetest and kindest people. I had complete peace of mind knowing my pets were in her care. I highly recommend Shannon to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and dependable!
Shannon is FABULOUS!!! She sent pictures and detailed messages about each visit. She was very thorough and made friends with my wary kitty and skittish dog very quickly. She is kind and very attentive to detail. I recommend her 10 out of 10 with gold stars.

Other than caring for my own pets and attending a lecture on Wednesday afternoons, I am free and flexible to care for your pets on your desired schedule.
