I work remotely with a flexible schedule, allowing me to be home throughout the day. I’m always home in the evenings and maintain a structured routine for feeding and medication needs. Daily walks are part of our routine with one of my dogs and are available for visiting pups as well, weather permitting. We almost always have soothing music on to keep a very chill vibe!

Safety, trust & environment

A safe, comfortable stay with plenty of space to relax and explore. My home features a large, fully fenced backyard and a screened-in porch perfect for lounging and watching neighborhood activity (and local wildlife!). I prioritize safety by crating or gating dogs when I’m away briefly, and I’m rarely gone for more than a couple of hours. While I’m home, pets enjoy free roam and can settle in wherever they’re most comfortable—including bedtime. My own dogs are very relaxed but social and engaged. We’re a great fit for dogs who enjoy low to moderate activity and interaction but are also able to settle down and relax or play on their own. For everyone’s comfort and safety, visiting pups should be friendly, well-behaved, and non-aggressive.

Information Shannon H. would like to know about your pet

I am willing to care for well-behaved, social pups but are open to most any need that they have. I have lots of experience with special needs and medical needs dogs so please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

A typical day

My home is very relaxed and often times the front door is open to the locked screened in porch for laying around or watching the street life. I am able to offer walks and a large fenced in backyard for exercise and entertainment. Lots of water bowls are available as well as places to nap....we love a good nap!

Pet care experience

With a lifelong passion for dogs, I currently have four of my own and bring years of hands-on experience caring for special and medical needs pups. As a former dedicated foster, I’m confident handling a variety of personalities and care routines, while happily welcoming all dogs. Dogs enjoy plenty of activity (or not!) with access to a large, fenced yard and walks in a beautiful, walkable neighborhood. My dogs are relaxed, friendly, and adjust well to new companions. I’m best suited for dogs who are housebroken and have good home manners. No matter if you’re looking for daycare, overnight boarding, social time, or longer-term care, this is a warm and reliable spot for your pup. ***I do require a meet and greet at my house prior to a stay.

Shannon is a dog person in the truest sense of that commonly used phrase. She understands dogs. She loves dogs. Her dogs are ‘her people’, and they know that. She has never met a dog that didn’t become her immediate friend. She has fostered dogs for years. Fostering is what led her to where she is now - the dog mom to 5 very happy, well mannered, extremely loved dogs. I cannot think of a single person that I would trust my 2 pups with more than Shannon. And on that same note, I can’t think of an environment where I’d feel more comfortable leaving my dogs than Shannon’s home. That’s because her home is also her dogs’ home. Doors are open so the pups can enjoy the fenced backyard or screened in porch. There’s a comfy place for every dog to rest. And rest assured, there’s enough love to go around.

Shannon is an animal advocate! She has her own doggie crew and was fostering a little lady until she found her a home….Willow found a home with me:) She prioritizes the safety and happiness of the dogs she watches, and I entrust my girls with her completely!
