I have grown up with dogs my entire life. I can't remember a time in my life when I wasn't accompanied by a four-legged friend. Aside from family-owned pups, I currently have two dogs of my own. I have two yellow labs at the ages of 1 and 4, one male and one female. They get along well with other dogs and people. Both are neutered/spayed. I understand the responsibility and emotional relationship that dogs provide to each family. I have gone through potty and crate training, puppy classes, etc. My dogs and I are also very active, so I am used to taking them for walks and hikes, or for rides in the car. I have been trusted to watch family and friends' dogs as well. I recently watched a friend's pup for a month and a half! I have a very good veterinarian close by as well, in case of emergencies. I am currently a teacher on summer vacation, looking for a way to brighten up my summer. What better way than with furry friends?

I have known Shannon for 8 years, we were college roommates for three years. I can say without a doubt Shannon is the most responsible pet owner I know. She helped me care for my dog, Lucky, during three years of undergrad when we were living together, and she has continued to love, care, and dogsit for Lucky over the past 5 years while I have been on trips or away for work. I drive two hours to drop Lucky off with her, just because I trust her so much with my dog and always prefer he stays with her. She now has two adorable dogs of her own that she cares for like children. She always makes sure they are cared for, happy, and healthy. There's no one I would recommend more highly than her to watch and care for your pet(s).

Schedule
As a teacher on summer vacation, I currently have no other responsibilities to attend to. At the end of August- early September my schedule will change as I head back to school. I will be teaching from about 7:30am-3:30pm, but will be home in the evenings and on the weekends to play with the pups. I have two dogs of my own that do well on this schedule, and I hope to continue to care for others pets as well throughout the school year.

My home will be a safe space for pets. I currently am raising two pups who love to play! We have a fenced-in yard so dogs can get as much outdoor time as they would like. We will go for walks often, and I will follow any schedule given to me by the family of the pet.
Pets
A typical day
I live in an area with plenty of opportunities to get outside. The Great Allegheny Passageway is less than a mile from my house and great for walks of all distances. There are other parks around as well that offer different trails. I also live in a safe neighborhood with a preexisting walk route my dogs use frequently! I have a fenced in yard for play and a dog park nearby if clients are interested!
