I like your dog more than people.
I’m a lifelong animal lover who’s been caring for dogs since I was five years old, starting with my first dog, Skipper. I currently have two rescue mixes—a 14-year-old boxer/husky and a 7-year-old pittie/husky—which has given me a deep respect for senior dogs and the quirks that come with them. I have a particular affinity for dogs with special needs and hands-on experience caring for dogs who are deaf, highly anxious, or require daily medications. I’m patient, observant, and take each dog’s routine seriously—your dog will be safe, understood, and well cared for (even if they pretend not to like me at first).

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow routines closely—feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any house-specific instructions. I’m attentive without hovering and respect both the pet’s space and your home. Everything will be left exactly as you left it, and your pet will be safe, settled, and properly cared for by someone who knows what they’re doing, regardless of how unimpressed your dog or cat may seem.

The best possible match for my Gracie!! Shannon is kind gentle and Gracie loves her so so much!! Shannon can get Gracie to do things I haven't been able to get her to do in 4 yrs!! She is so reliable, I never worry about getting Gracie's walk in. We love her and hope to keep her forever!!!!

Shanon was great! You can tell she’s definitely comfortable around animals. She had our skittish pups eating out of her hand (literally) the first night she was at our house. I never felt like I was bothering her with my questions or extra “forgot to mentions” and trusted completely that she would reach out with any questions or concerns. Our vacation was so enjoyable knowing our pups and kitties were safe at home and in good hands. I would recommend Shannon without hesitation!
I can’t think of a better person to trust with your pets. Shannon is the kind of human animals instantly love—dogs, cats, even the “I don’t like people” ones. She is responsible, attentive, and somehow has endless patience for fur, messes, and chaos. If your pet needs walks, cuddles, or someone to talk to them like they’re a tiny human, this is your person. Honestly, your pet might be a little disappointed when you come home. 🐾😄

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means I’m available throughout the day for walks, feedings, medications, check-ins, and supervision—not just quick drop-ins. I adapt my day around a pet’s existing routine, not the other way around, and I’m available on weekends as well. Translation: your fur baby will be thoroughly cared for, closely monitored, and occasionally wondering why I’m still there.
