Some pet parents affectionately call me the "Cat Whisperer," and it's a title I wear with a smile 🐾 because every pet deserves a the royal treatment, and every pet parent deserves to travel worry-free. Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. With over 50 years of hands-on animal care experience, I've developed a deep understanding of their unique personalities, needs, and quirks. As a teenager, I worked at Benson's Wild Animal Farm, caring for a variety of wild animals, birds, and fowl. That experience helped shape a lifelong respect and appreciation for animals of all kinds. My love for cats began on our family farm, where I was surrounded by animals from an early age. Over the years, I've cared for indoor cats, outdoor cats, barn cats, and feral cats, each with their own special charm. Having cared for my own special-needs pets, as well as those belonging to others, I know how important it is to follow routines, administer extra care, and pay attention to subtle changes in behavior. Your pets' well-being is always my top priority. Whether your feline friend is playful, shy, senior, or requires extra patience and attention, I strive to provide personalized care that helps them feel secure and content in their familiar environment. While cats hold a special place in my heart, I'm happy caring for many other animals as well, including birds, small pets, livestock, and poultry. Need a bird feeder filled, a bird bath cleaned, or some plants watered while you're away? I'm happy to help. I believe every pet and every family is unique, which is why I tailor my services to meet your specific needs. Communication is important to me, so you'll receive regular updates and plenty of photos while you're away. I'd be happy to meet you and your pets beforehand so you can feel completely comfortable and confident in the care they will receive. My goal is simple: to give you peace of mind knowing your beloved pets are safe, happy, and cared for as if they were my own.

I seriously couldn’t have asked for a better person to take care of my cats. She went above and beyond in every possible way. She sent me tons of pictures and updates every visit, so I always knew they were happy, comfortable, and being well taken care of. She even brought them cat toys, which was such an unexpected and thoughtful touch! You can tell she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after and treats them like they’re her own. Having someone I could completely trust with my cats while I was away made such a difference. I would 100% book her again and recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing sitter. She did an amazing job taking care of my cats! She was reliable, attentive, and made me feel completely comfortable knowing they were in good hands while I was away. She also sent tons of pictures every visit, which I really appreciated and made it easy to see that the cats were happy and doing great. Everything went perfectly, and I’ll definitely be using her again. Highly recommend!
Shannon is exactly what you want for your cat. I get the feeling she would come sit with my cat even if we didn't pay her! We have had her as a sitter several times and she never disappoints, very punctual, she brings her own toys, and she sends a ton of pictures.

Shannon’s been sitting for us for a while now. Our cat Zuzu goes crazy as soon as she hears the car, then she runs to the window. How do I know? Well Shannon takes lots of pictures of their time together. Zuzu doesn’t stop for one minute! This booking was a family emergency and Shannon didn’t hesitate to come over. I’m so glad I found her on Rover!

Schedule
My schedule is very flexible which allows me to spend a lot of time with your babies to ensure they are comfortable, happy and loved! I can safely provide Oral, topical or injected medicine along with lots of praise and love after, even a treat if allowed.
- CatsShannon can host up to 6 drop-ins per day
- Please share any specific issues, requests or concerns about your pet’s. The more detailed the better so that I can be sure to meet yours and their needs. I will do anything you need to make your pets feel special, loved and cared for while I am there. 1. Food and Treat Preferences 2. Clean Water 3. Litter Box Cleaning 4. Any special toys, hiding spots or special attention I safely administer: Oral medicine Injected medicine Topical medicine I give them all praise and love after. A treat if allowed.
