From around 6 I was reading every book I could get my hands on, regarding looking after pets. Mainly dogs, but I would read up on all sorts of pets, including cats and guinea pigs. I would take my aunt's dogs (border collies and labradors) out for walks, feed them, and help wash them. When I was a teenager, I started to look after one of the dogs on my own when my aunt needed it. This has continued with her current dog, who needs to be watched vigilantly as she eats everything in sight (classic lab!) I have experience with all sized dogs, from chihuahua to springer spaniel, to tornjak. I have looked after pure bred and rescue, each with their own unique personality and temperament, along with a variety of ages from under 1 to 16 years old. I also have experience with reactive dogs, including large breed dogs. Other animals: I have experience looking after cats, which include pure bred, rescue, and half feral. I also have a little experience with other animals, as I will look after a neighbour's nervous rescue cat, their giant snail, and fish, when they are away. I will also do drop ins for them when they are at work.

Please provide me with details on how to look after your pets if they have any specific instructions. For example, if they have a set feed or walk time, if they need to wear a muzzle on walks or cannot be off lead, food amounts, if they are allowed on furniture, ect. All of your instructions will be followed.

Shannon has looked after my very greedy, scavenger Labrador on several occasions, having her to stay at her house. Shannon did an excellent job of keeping her well exercised and away from anything she shouldn't eat, which can be challenging and requires an ability to resist puppy-dog eyes. Shannon follows instructions to the letter, in a conscientious manner and I always felt that the welfare of my dog was always at the forefront. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.
Shannon has looked after our cat, fish and snail for the last few holidays we've taken. And has done a wonderful job. Our cat is very distrustful of humans, but formed an instant connection with Shannon, and had a great, relaxed break from us being in the house. All instructions for feeding and care were followed to the letter, and we received regular updates. Will always be our first choice.

Schedule
I have a zero-hour contract job and am very flexible. I do not have a car but am able to walk, get the train, or bus to where I need to be.
