Pet care experience
Your cats new bff!
I used to think of myself as a dog person since I grew up with multiple family dogs, but my perspective shifted to loving cats a few years ago, thanks to some of my first cat clients! I’ve come to realize that I might actually be more of a cat person at heart! While I dream of adopting a cat of my own one day, I’m thrilled to offer my care, love, and attention to your furry companion in the meantime. I understand that every cat is unique, from playful and adventurous to shy and independent, and I tailor my care to meet their individual needs and quirks. Most of my clients book me for daily visits to handle feeding, litter scooping, and, of course, some quality playtime or cuddles. For cats who are more social or used to having someone around, I also offer house-sitting services. This allows your cat to enjoy a consistent presence and all the affection they need while you’re away. Whether your fur baby is an energetic explorer who loves interactive play or a quiet observer who prefers companionship from a distance, I’m here to ensure they’re comfortable, happy, and well cared for. Feel free to reach out to discuss your cat’s needs—I can’t wait to meet your furry family member!
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
Drop-ins: Cat visits, or dog visits in a fenced yard for potty breaks, food, water, playtime, and cuddles. Does NOT include a dog walk. House sitting: I typically bring a suitcase with my essentials to ensure I can adequately stay at your home and cater to your pet's needs. I appreciate it when homeowners leave me with a clean living environment, and I reciprocate the gesture. Any quirks or specific details about your home, such as appliance operation, light switch locations, peculiar sounds at certain times, the nearest trash can for doggy bags, parking instructions, or interesting notes about neighbors, would be immensely helpful. The more information you can provide upfront, including in your initial note, the better prepared I can be. If you have any questions or would like to discuss scheduling, feel free to reach out. I can’t wait to meet you and your animals and to begin caring for them!
Ratings and reviews
Shannon is the first person I trust when it comes to giving my cat the best care possible. She consistently goes above and beyond, offering thoughtful updates and showering my cat with so much love. My cat is incredibly picky, yet he absolutely adores her. Shannon is reliable, attentive, and truly amazing in every way. I recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone looking for an amazing pet sitter. Shannon is the absolute best!

Shannon is hands down the most incredible pet sitter! We have been lucky enough to have Shannon do multiple overnight visits with our three cats and we are always so comforted that they are in the best possible hands with Shannon. Shannon is an excellent communicator and always takes the best care of our cats and our home. We highly recommend Shannon and will definitely book with her in the future!

Shannon is great - very reliable, communicative and attentive. My cat seemed happy and well taken care of when we return. 5 stars!

Shannon is amazing! She took care of our three kitties and was absolutely wonderful in every way. We have two kittens and one adult cat, and Shannon was an expert with all three! She was able to give our kittens ample play time, and made sure that our older cat got lots of cuddles and pets. Shannon was so communicative, and we never had to worry because we knew she took the best care of our three kitties. I highly recommend Shannon, she is incredible!

Shannon was great! She filled in for us last minute when our other Catsitter had a family emergency. She was super flexible, which I really appreciated, and most importantly, she was great with our cats! Even our super shy cat warmed up to her!

Shannon went above and beyond taking care of my baby! Not only is she professional but she is incredibly thoughtful. She did drop-in feedings for my cat, Kida, while my husband and I were away for a weekend. I only expected her to feed Kida and give her a few pats and leave. But not only did Shannon do all that, she took her time to make sure my baby wasn’t lonely. She played with her and gave her lots of attention which I sooooo appreciate. I’ll 100% be asking Shannon come back when we have long trips and can’t bring Kida with us. ♥️

Schedule
During house sitting, I strive to spend most of my time at your home. I have an in-person 9-5 job and also will need to step out for social events, exercise classes, work-related commitments, errands, or other pet drop-ins so I cannot guarantee a full-time presence and to match your schedule exactly. If your dog enjoys car rides, outdoor restaurants, farmers markets, breweries, friends houses with other dogs, and other activities, I'd love to include them in my daily routine to maximize our time together. Rest assured, I treat all pets as if they were my own (and probably even better!). Being a true animal lover, I'm attuned to dogs' emotions and handle them with utmost care, depending on how they're feeling.
- CatsShannon can host up to 5 drop-ins per day
- Dogs: How long can they be left alone? How should I prepare for my departure? Do they experience separation anxiety, and if so, how does it manifest? Are they friendly towards other dogs, especially during walks or encounters? How about their interactions with other people? How frequently do they need potty breaks, and at what times are they typically taken out? Would they enjoy accompanying me to outdoor activities, or would they prefer staying home? Are they afraid of rain or thunderstorms? Do passing cars, bikes, scooters, or strollers trigger any reactions while on walks? For house-sitting, would you hire a mid-day dog walk while you're at work Monday through Friday, or does your dog's current schedule already accommodate a typical workday? Cats: How flexible is their schedule? Do they enjoy being petted and cuddled? Are there any triggers or dislikes I should be aware of? Have they ever displayed aggression towards humans? Do they engage in playtime, and if so, what activities do they enjoy? If I'm staying overnight, do they sleep through the night, or is there anything I can do to help them settle in for a restful sleep? Do they attempt to escape outside when doors are opened? To ensure I don't overlook any details, it would be helpful to have a sheet of paper with key information listed, such as feeding times and quantities. This way, I can reference it whenever you're away, as I care for multiple pets/homes.
