Pet care experience

Guaranteed playtime & lots of love!

From day one I have always had a strong passion for animals! I recently moved to CO and am transitioning to my dream career as a Canine Rehab Therapist. Not many things would make me happier than working with dogs every day to help them (and their owners) return to a normal life! I have 3 years of experience working at a dog daycare which taught me so much about understanding dog behavior and language. Now, my training for canine rehab is teaching me more about the health aspect of dogs and how to build trusting relationships with them. This knowledge has no doubt made me a better dog sitter. I love every type of dog. I'm happy to take the young energetic ones outside to play or hike, and I love to cuddle up and relax with the mellow ones. I have experience with nervous/weary dogs and know how to build their trust with me while keeping them safe. Whatever your pets' needs are, I will meet. Your pets will get plenty of attention and I try hard to keep them as close to their normal schedule as possible. I'd be happy to give baths if requested. I am also willing to provide your pet with any special care or medication it may need if I'm given proper, detailed instructions. I love cats just as much as dogs and have experience with other smaller 'exotic' pets including reptiles, birds, and others. Everywhere that I've lived I've had a strong client base of pets that became like my own. I miss all my previous clients so am very excited to build a new CO family and meet all your fur babies!

We love Shannon! She's a good communicator, timely, and most importantly, takes great care of my big great Dane puppy! Shannon will (hopefully) be a regular at our house!

Shannon was excellent with Clint! We had a meet and greet where she met him and asked all the right questions. She was responsive to my messages as my schedule/plan for the weekend kept changing. She was on time and did great with him! He took a while to warm up, but she was very patient. I would very highly recommend her!

Shannon is a wonderful house sitter! She made sure to spend individual time with each of our pets and kept us updated on how everything was going with plenty of pictures. Maple is a very high energy dog and Salem is a very social cat, and Shannon was well equipped to deal with both their needs. We are happy repeat clients and look forward to booking Shannon again!

Dog Walking • Sep 17, 2022

I am always so reassured when I have to go away and Shannon is able to walk Storm. She is so flexible and so communicative. Her pictures of Storm never fail to put a smile on my face!

Shannon watched my 2 year old very active dog overnight this past weekend. I can't express how wonderful she is. She gave me wonderful updates throughout the entire stay. She played with Clover outside and somehow managed to tire her out...LOL. Shannon was so neat and respectful while staying in our home, I cannot say enough good things. I hope she is available to watch Clover again soon!

I set up Meet & Greets for every pet I'm asked to care for. If I'm house sitting, I would like to know if bringing my dog along with me is an option and would bring her along for the Meet & Greet if it is. I would like to know how your dog behaves with other dogs and cats (how they play, can they get defensive or aggressive in any way, etc.) as well as any habits the dog has (chewing stuff, sneaking bites of food, etc.). If I'm dropping in to walk a dog I would like to know how they act when passing people or other dogs and how you would like me to respond.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
