I’ve had animals my entire life. Cats, dogs, hamsters, birds, tree frogs and turtles held a special place in my heart as I grew up. As an adult, I have happily shared my home with cats and dogs. I absolutely adore animals and have been dubbed the dog charmer by my mother due to my ability to calm and cuddle with even the most hyper of dogs. Currently, I have 2 very spoiled kitties. I believe animals deserve to be treated with love, kindness, dignity and patience. I loved watching my kitties each grow into their individual personalities and I believe that they were able to do so because I allowed them each to be how and who they are without interfering. I don’t believe in disciplining animals harshly, it only creates fear. I believe in modifying destructive behavior by assessing WHY that behavior is presenting and learning what motivates each animal so I can use that as a tool to redirect the energy. I treat all animals in my care as if they were my own.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a secure apartment building. My cats get fed wet food twice a day and are able to graze dry food throughout the day. They have 3 litter boxes that are either contained or slightly covered. If I am sitting at a clients house, I will keep the routine and setup to the exact specifications told to me by their furrparents. It’s very helpful if I know when and how you do things, it helps me to minimize the stress on your animal.

Shannon did an amazing job with Rocco. He is a very anxious and nervous dog, and she was very patient with him. It was so nice to be able to travel without stressing about him. I even came home to clean laundry, which was so nice! I highly recommend Shannon - she is very caring and an obvious pet lover!
Shannon stayed with our three cats while we were in England for a week -- it was reassuring to know she was in the house keeping an eye on them (and everything else)! Kept the cats happy, left the house clean, and sent nice updates with pictures. Great cat-sitter!
Shannon was a great cat- and house-sitter! I felt a little ridiculous asking for someone to stay with my cats, but they're used to having people around most of the time, and it's nice to know someone's in your house keeping an eye on stuff when you're out of town. Shannon kept the cats happy, sent me regular updates, and left the house super clean. (Maybe cleaner than I left it... I tried, I promise!)
Shannon did a great job looking after our cat and tropical fish! Will use again next time we are out of town.

Schedule
I’m a graphic designer who works from home. I can easily pick up and go for overnights as long as I have internet access. I work 9-5 Monday thru Friday. If I’m not already booked, I’m free to do drop ins or walks on my lunch break. I am very laid back and understanding that things come up and you may need someone last minute; if I’m available, I’d be happy to help. Just reach out, I’m more than happy to see how I can help.
