I have been a dog lover since I was a child and have always owed at least two or more dogs at a time. I have 20 years experience fostering dogs of all types for several dog rescues in the province and as a volunteer with the local SPCA. Through the years, I have gained experience in dealing with all manner of doggie needs, from those of well loved dogs of family and friends to rescued dogs who have never lived inside or been given a kind touch. I am comfortable working with dogs of all breeds, ages and sizes and have experience working with dogs who have special needs, i.e., vision/hearing/mobility issues, mobility issues, special diets and medications. I have fostered everything from pregnant moms who gave birth to their wee little babies, watching and worrying about them, to senior and palliative care dogs. I consider my own dogs to be family members and treat all fosters as part of the family. I recognize that the decision to entrust someone with the well of being of your canine companion isn't always easy. Should I be chosen to care for your furry family member, they would be attended to as if they were my own dogs.
