My husband and I have been caring for pets since childhood, and our love for animals has only grown over the years. We adore our own pets and would be honored to care for yours while you’re away on vacation or business. Shannon and Dave took such wonderful care of our Giant Schnauzer. We had moved recently and with a couple week family vacation set, really needed to figure out who we would even trust to take care of our very needy 9 year old Giant Schnauzer. After meeting Shannon at a local dog park, ensuring her pets and Fitz got along well, I knew that they would treat our pet like their own. They had a great process for us to meet and understand how they would take care of Fitz and how he would fit into their routine. During the trip, they sent regular updates so I would not worry. When I picked up Fitz, it was obvious he was so well cared for and he had a really good "Summer Camp" holiday. I would highly recommend them! It is so wonderful to have your pet taken care of by such caring individuals. I am hoping they will continue to be available to watch Fitz on a regular basis for long days and travels in the future.

Kona had a great stay at Shannon and David’s! They were welcoming and warm which made Kona very comfortable. Pictures were so cute. He loved the long walks too! We were able to have a great weekend in Ellicottville with no worries. I highly recommend them and would absolutely have Kona stay on our next visit!
Shannon is the perfect person for minding your dog. She is reliable, caring and extremely patience. With a background that spans the military, social work and higher education, Shannon is well respected and does all her work with great passion.
Shannon is one of the most patient and naturally gifted animal caretakers I have ever known. Animals immediately feel comfortable around her, and she gives them the perfect balance of structure, attention, and affection. She has raised some of the sweetest and best-behaved dogs and cats, and she has also cared for chickens with the same gentle, detail-oriented approach. She notices small changes, understands what animals need, and is always calm, steady, and attentive. She is also incredibly responsible, which makes her the ideal person to trust with your pets. She knows how important it is to feel confident when you are away, and she communicates well and provides thoughtful updates. She will treat your pets like her own, and they will feel so loved and cared for that they might not want to leave when it is time to go home.

Schedule
I work part-time from home and also own a small business, so I’m home most of the day with occasional scheduled events. My husband works full-time from home and is always nearby to help as needed. Together, we’re able to provide attentive, loving care and plenty of companionship throughout the day.

We live on several peaceful acres in the countryside, offering a calm and relaxing environment for your pet. While our yard is not fenced, all dogs are always walked on a leash to ensure their safety. We also have a fully fenced back porch where dogs can enjoy supervised outdoor time, fresh air, and play in a secure space.

A typical day
We enjoy daily walks, playing fetch, and spending time outside on the porch. Throughout the day, we also make plenty of time for snuggle breaks, quiet moments, and lots of affection.
