Information Shannon D. would like to know about your pet

Here’s what I’d love you to share: 1. The daily rhythm: feeding times, potty/walk schedule, bedtime routine Their vibe: shy/social, cuddly/independent, favorite toys/treats, what makes them feel safe 2. Triggers + comfort tools: storms, fireworks, strangers, other dogs, being alone—plus what helps them settle 3. House rules: furniture yes/no, crate or free roam, off-limits rooms, leash/harness preferences 4. Health & care: meds/supplements, allergies, mobility issues, any “keep an eye on this” notes 5. Social stuff: how they do with dogs/cats/kids/men, and any reactivity or guarding behaviors 6. Safety: escape-artist tendencies, door-darters, fence details, microchip info, vet + emergency contact 7. Where everything lives: food, treats, leashes, poop bags, cleaning supplies (so I’m not playing scavenger hunt at 10pm) For overnight stays (home care): If you’d like, I can also take care of the “life stuff” while you’re away—plants, mail/packages, rotating lights, trash day, etc. Just leave quick notes on what matters most. If your pet is a sensitive soul or has a rescue backstory, you can over-share. I genuinely prefer it.

A typical day

On a typical overnight stay, I structure the day around your pet’s normal routine. Mornings start with potty breaks, fresh water, breakfast (if needed), any meds, and a walk/playtime depending on your pet’s energy level. I’ll also do a quick reset of the home—tidy up, check doors, and water plants if requested. During the workday, I’m away for my full-time job, but I plan ahead to make sure your pet is comfortable while I’m out. If your pet does well with longer stretches, I stick to the routine you prefer. If they need more support, I can often add flexible check-ins (based on location and my schedule) for a midday potty break, quick walk, and reassurance. Evenings are focused on connection and consistency: dinner, longer walk/playtime, enrichment/mental stimulation, cuddles, and a final bedtime potty break. I send updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is safe and settled.

Cozy, calm in-home pet sitter 🐾 💗

Pet care experience

I’m a lifelong animal lover with a soft spot for shy, timid pets who need gentle reassurance. I’ve fostered 60+ rescue dogs and have years of experience helping anxious pups feel safe, calm, and cared for. My focus is overnight, in-home sitting so your pets can stay in their normal routine—sleeping in their own beds, in the place they feel most comfortable (no boarding stress). I am happy to send photos and updates of your pets while you're away so you can enjoy your travels knowing they are safe, happy, and receiving plenty of love. While you’re away, I also treat your home with respect and care: bringing in mail/packages, rotating lights, watering plants, and keeping things tidy. Expect reliable communication, photo updates, and calm, steady care—walks, playtime, enrichment, snuggles, and support for separation anxiety/routines.
