I’ve been a dog person for as long as I can remember and have cared for countless pets over the years. I previously had a Shepherd/Akita mix and currently share my home with two very loved Shih-Tzus, ages 12 and 6, so I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, personalities, energy levels and ages. I work from home, which means your dog gets plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. My home has a fully fenced backyard and a dog door for pups who enjoy having easy access to the outdoors. I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone who will treat them like family. I’m attentive, dependable and happy to follow your dog’s normal routine so they feel comfortable and at home while you’re away. And, of course, belly rubs are my love language. ❤️

Literally couldnt ask for a better dog sitter. She took him on so many adventures, constantly updating with pics and how he's adjusting to the new environment. She was also super sweet, I will absolutely be going back when I need another sitter. My doggo came back happy and wore out from all the playing. 10/10 highly recommend:)

Shannon is absolutely incredible with my dog, Tucker! Tucker is a total cuddle monster but suffers from a mild case of anxiety, so I am always a bit nervous leaving him. Shannon was completely reliable, friendly, and kept me at ease by sending regular picture updates. She took him on great walks and went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable—she even got him to cuddle on her lap, which he almost never does with anyone else! I came home to a relaxed, happy pup. I highly recommend Shannon to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter. I’m excited that Shannon is going to be caring for dogs through Rover. I have known Shannon for three years, and she has been dog-sitting our two dogs—one small and one large—at her home for the past two years. I never worry when my dogs are with Shannon. She is attentive to their individual needs and ensures they receive the care they require. My small senior dog, Fox, sometimes “passes” on his food and wants to eat it later, and Shannon always makes sure he gets his meal when he’s ready. Both of my dogs get along wonderfully with Shannon’s easygoing Shih Tzus. Our husky, Alyce, especially LOVES to play with the tiniest dog, and Shannon’s little dog is so comfortable with her. It’s clear that Shannon is attentive to the dogs’ personalities and makes sure everyone is happy and comfortable. As a Rover caregiver myself, I would refer my own clients to Shannon without hesitation. I know my dogs are in excellent hands with her, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and attentive dog sitter.

Schedule
I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so I’m around throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, playtime, meals and plenty of attention. Your pup won’t be spending long stretches of the day alone—I genuinely enjoy having some four-legged company while I work!

I have a fully fenced backyard, a dog door for easy outdoor access, and two friendly Shih Tzus who are used to sharing their home. I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal feeding, walking and sleeping routines and will make sure they have a safe, comfortable place to relax. Since I’m home throughout the day, there’s plenty of supervision, attention and, naturally, belly rubs.

A typical day
A typical day here is pretty relaxed and tailored to your dog’s usual routine. Since I work from home, I’m around for plenty of potty breaks, backyard exploring, playtime and—very importantly—couch cuddles. We’ll get out for walks around the neighborhood, have some supervised backyard time, and play as much (or as little!) as your pup wants. High-energy dogs can get their wiggles out, while seniors and professional nappers are equally welcome to claim a cozy spot near me while I work. I follow your dog’s normal feeding, walking and sleeping schedule as closely as possible, and I’ll send regular photos and updates so you can see what we’re up to. My goal is for your dog’s stay to feel less like boarding and more like a sleepover at their favorite aunt’s house.

I want to make sure everyone feels safe, comfortable and happy. A meet & greet before their first stay is always encouraged!
