Hello! My name is Shannon and I've been dog walking and pet sitting for over 9 years, in Abu Dhabi, Montreal, Toronto and now in Hythe. I also had my own dogs and various pets growing up and volunteered at an animal shelter and vets in my formative years, safe to say I've had lots of experience caring for our furry friends! I’ve had many pet owners rely on me for care services for some years now and looking forward to meeting new ones!

I take care of every animal as if they were my own and I am extremely proactive in my approach to caring for your pets. I will go above and beyond to assure their specific needs are met with regards to their health, activity levels, personalities and little quirks. I've had Dachsunds with separation anxiety, Great Danes with leash reactivity, senior dogs with health problems and all sorts! As long as you are transparent and communicate your pets needs, I am confident in my ability to meet them, so you can rest assured they are in good hands! Healthy, safe and most of all happy! I love to take photos so you will receive lots of great pictures of your pet, I send snaps and updates multiple times a day and I pride myself on my communication with pet owners. I provide boarding, day care, house sitting, drop in visits/walks and would love to take care of your dog, cat or any pet! I cannot recommend Shannon highly enough. Her knowledge of dogs and their needs is surpassed only by her love for them. My Golden Retriever can be a little anxious when he's somewhere new, but on his second day he couldn't wait to get out of the car. Winston absolutely loves Shannon and has been such a happy boy while he's been with her. I would absolutely recommend Shannon to anyone looking for a genuine, caring, and highly competent dog sitter.
Shannon was brilliant! She absolutely loves dogs and gave Taly the most amazing walks. Updated us with lots of photos so we knew Taly was having the best time whilst she was away from us for the weekend. This was our first time using Rover and what an excellent experience it was. I would not hesitate to recommend Shannon and use her again if we are in the area!
Molly had a great stay with Shannon,lovely dog walks and wonderful photos and updates sent to me and my family whilst on holiday. I would not hesitate to recommend her and hopefully Molly will be staying again in the summer. Steven C

Shannon was brilliant. Her love for dogs is obvious. Our 2 year old labrador stayed overnight as a trial ( it was his 1st time away) and we were impressed by how quickly he settled in. We have already pencilled in a week later in the year.
Shannon was absolutely amazing and I have never felt so confident leaving my dog with someone. She was very thorough in finding out everything about Samson and looked after him so well. She sent such lovely updates and it was lovely to see everything he got up to! He can't wait to go back!

Schedule
I currently live in Hythe in a two bedroom with a garden and lots of lovely trail walks nearby for your dog to enjoy. There is also the seafront a short distance and I love to take the dogs swimming in the warmer months. You can see lots of pictures of Lake Ontario I used to take the dogs to in Canada! I enjoy being active and going on adventurous walks so your dog will get all the exercise they need If they're an active breed. I'm also happy to cosy up on the couch and watch Netflix if they're a lazy pup, but I’ll offer them the best of both! I have the most experience with dogs but I have sat many cats, some hamsters, a bunny and a hedgehog!

- I’d love to know about your dog and their needs, whether they be pretty normal or a bit out of the ordinary! (I have cooked daily eggs and whole chickens before for dogs!) I will ask about your pets diet and if they have any special dietary requirements, restrictions or allergies and we will maintain these. With most dogs I aim for a morning, afternoon and evening walk, varying in length and dependent on the weather and their activity level. I will switch up my routines accordingly. I ask that owners be transparent about health issues, any resource guarding, aggression towards other dogs or humans and we can discuss whether I think we’d be a good fit!
