My two sons are grown and living on their own, so I have availability to care for pets seven days a week. I will travel within Farmington city limits and can't wait to meet you and your furry family. I am also happy to housesit your animals when you go on vacation, whether for overnight, a week, or longer.

I will come to your home for the initial meet and greet. At that time, you can tell me everything I need to know about your pets; their eating schedule, walks, potty breaks, playtime routine, favorite toys, what furniture they aren't allowed on (if any!), and anything else you want me to know. My house-sitting fee covers overnights from 7pm to 7am with evening feeding, potty-time, and play time. In the morning, I will snuggle with your pets, and they will have potty-time and breakfast. Depending on my schedule, I may be out of your house for a few hours taking care of other pets, but I will spend a half hour with your pets every three to four hours throughout the day, taking them on walks or playing with their favorite toys. If you are going to be gone a few days, I am happy to help by bringing in the mail and watering your plants.

During the initial meet and greet with your pet(s) you can share your expectations for my services. Are you wanting a short walk and play time? Does your dog need a potty break, lunch and snuggles? Does the kitty litter box need cleaned and the food and water bowl refilled? Do medications need administered? I need to know if your yard is fenced and your dog runs freely, if they are allowed on the furniture and any areas that are off limits and if your pets have any health issues I should be aware of. During the initial meet and greet I'll give you as much time and you need to tell me about, and introduce me to, your fur babies.
A typical day
I love to play with your pets while matching their energy levels. For active dogs, we can play fetch, go for a walk, or play hide and seek. For lower energy and senior dogs, we can just snuggle, go outside for a stroll, or play gently with a favorite toy. Some cats love to play with toys and some want to be pet. If your pet has a favorite toy or place to walk, just let me know and we'll do it!

I will care for your pets as if they are my own. I have cared for friends, family and coworker's dogs and cats for over 30 years. I have looked after dogs and cats who were fortunate enough to have loving homes and also cared for dogs and cats in the animal shelter environment, so no matter if your pet is friendly or shy, we are bound to be new best friends!
