Need a hand with your furry friend?
I have cared for my own pets for 22 years (Yorkshire Terrier, Shi Tzu, German Shepard, St. Bernard/Boxer/Great Dane mix, Pit Bull). I’ve dog sat (Whippets, German Shepard, Shi Tzus, Husky, Great Danes, English Mastiff, English Bull Dog, Beagle, Labrador Retrievers, and many rescues) for family and friends for as long as I have had dogs of my own. I have experience with pets needing medications, including insulin shots, and pets with limited mobility. We are suckers for a wet nose and furry face for dog sitting and our hour lunch break is perfect for a play break in the backyard. We have two rescues: a Shepard/husky mix and a mini doodle. We have available a large and medium/small dog crate, but only if it makes your pup or you feel safer.

Schedule
I work full time, but I’m up at 4:00 am to get the day started. I also have an hour lunch break that has flexibility and I’m off work at 4:00 most days. I can make time for a mid-day potty break or before/after work walk. I spend most weekends around the house, at a park, or hiking. I’m happy to be as active with someone’s pet as they need. As a bonus, my husband works from home, so we typically have someone home for at least two hours in the middle of the day.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a big back yard with a privacy fence that has 2 separately fenced in areas; we live in a safe area to walk, near several trails & parks. We have dog gates in the house as well as different areas of the house that serve as boarding areas. I prefer to meet the owner and pet to make sure personality quirks of pets are clear, any directions of medication are accurate, and the pet is comfortable with me.

A typical day
I have a walkable neighborhood and enjoy hiking or jogging new paths around Little Rock area on weekends when the weather allows. We have a warm home that’s full of animal lovers; we love to to snuggle and play in the floor with our kids & pups. Our extra large backyard is our personal dog park where we throw tennis balls and chase squirrels. If it’s an extra nice day, we may hit the little Maumelle River for a little kayaking (if pet parent approves). And there’s always a grocery run the pup is welcome to ride along for.

- Because we have 2 kids and 2 dogs, I’d like to know any restrictions or behaviors to look out for. We have several dog gates and doors to keep animals separated if needed. I have multiple size pet crates from house training and pet sitting over the years.
