I have owned 3 cats and fostered one cat, and I have also lived in homes with dogs and enjoy small dogs especially. I like to focus my attention on rescue cats and pride myself on breaking down barriers with animals by getting to know them individually and reading their signals for affection, playtime, and care. My special skills are with high-needs cats. I own a cat named Talon with epilepsy who is a rescue, and my previous cat, Simba, who is no longer with us, suffered from HCM. My current cat Talon suffers from behavioural issues and seizures and I have gotten him to really open up through his complicated health history. I also have had a lot of experience in dealing with kittens, as I had my own cat, Simba, from six weeks old, and never left his side. However, I do love a beautiful pure-breed cat or dog and had a Siamese as a child, whom I carried to the grocery store in my jacket pocket. What sets me apart is my patience towards animals and my ability to read and show empathy to challenging animals.
