I am currently working as a case manager. I have lots of flexibility in my schedule to take care of animals. I work from home 4 days a week. With my flexibility animals who board are rarely left unattended. This also gives me the opportunity to provide drop in visit and dog walking around Columbus. I would love to meet your fur friends!!

I have a fenced in yard that is maintained daily and sprayed down once a week. I clean my home with cleaning products they use in boarding facilities, vet offices, and shelter to make sure your dog is not exposed to anything from the pervious dog. Water bowls are cleaned and disinfected daily and constantly changed out with fresh water. Food bowls will be cleaned after every meal. All dogs have access to bones, plush toys, and balls which are cleaned and disinfected after every boarder and changed out frequently. For dog walks. I will always have poop bags, treats, water, and pet corrector for any incident that may come up with another animal. I am make sure harness and collars are in good condition and I always carry and extra leash. I watch for temperature that might be dangerous for dogs or if warm take shorter walks to prevent heat stroke. In the winter months I watch for ice and salt which could cause injuries to dog paws.

A typical day
I want to be a place that is fun to visit and I become someone your furry friend loves and trust. While your dog stays with me we will do different activities to keep them occupied. I love doing dog art and making something fun they can bring home to show their pawrents. We will make treats from scratch that of course they will help with and is another think they are able to bring home as a remind of their fun time away. We have a bubble machine with dog friendly bubbles we bring out for the dogs. We do enrichment games like hiding treats in an area and letting them sniff it out. Every dog is allowed outside in the backyard where there are toys for them to play and explore. We do kong treats and will make a report card for you so you can see all the fun things they did. When I come to your home for a drop in visit or walk. I will check the mail and bring the mails in. All dogs will get a walk unless noted otherwise. I will changed out the water and clean the water bowls. I will water any plants or any complete any simple chores. Every dog will get some cuddle time and or play time depending on their energy level. Depending on your notes they will get fed and anything a dog may have done will be cleaned up. For drop in visit I will take the trash out and can even take trash cans to the front on trash day.

Hello, My name is Shannan. I am currently a dog mom to 4 amazing dogs. I have grown up with animals and when I started college I started to volunteer at local shelters with walking dogs and cleaning kennels. I took home my first foster dog and feel in love with helping animals. I have fostered for 4 years now and have worked with many different breeds, ages, and health. I have worked for two private dog walking companies where I worked closely with families to provide the best care to their animals while they were away. I have certifications in fear free training and continue to further my education on animals care such as cleaning, training, health, and more. I want to provide a clean and safe environment for animals while there pawrents enjoy their time away.
