Dog-Mom to the masses!
I grew up with all kinds of animals. Family friends would jokingly refer to our house as “The Zoo”. Dogs (large and small), guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, fish, baby rabbits, lizards, a snake, and a bird. The rabbits and snake didn’t stay long but they were there, so it counts. Starting in 2013, I had the pleasure of loving and training my first fur-baby as an adult, Blu. He was a 75lb cane corso pitty mix and the bestest boy. Since he passed in 2023, I’ve cared for, trained, walked, and housed dogs through Rover, Dogs on Deployment, and rescue. I’ve worked with aggressive dogs, dogs on medication, and dogs in need of basic training. Some compliments I’ve received are, “Fosters like her are the unspoken heroes…Your foster is lucky to have her” and “..stellar foster”. The dogs seemed to enjoy their stay, and throughout the sitting period, the sitter did a good job sending photos and providing daily updates about their behavior. However, communication became extremely poor when it was time for pickup. She did not respond to several calls or messages from me or Rover support, which caused unnecessary stress and panic. I ultimately had to involve the police to retrieve my dogs. While I appreciated the updates during the stay, reliable communication, especially at pickup, is essential. Overall, the dogs appeared to receive decent care, but the communication and pickup experience were unacceptable.
Shanisa was a wonderful sitter! Watching three dogs by yourself is not easy, but she held it down for us! She gave us plenty of updates throughout the weekend and our dogs seemed to love her. It was comforting to know they were in good hands while we were away!
I was a bit nervous because it was my 1st time using Rover and Shanisa was lovely with my dog Agapi!!
Shanisa is always wonderful with Jax! He loves walks with her.
Shanisa is amazing and clearly very knowledgeable and good at what she does. From our meet & greet all the way to the end, she kept me informed and supplied with photos & videos. As far as Bix was concerned, he was at a week-long resort vacation.
Shanisa was amazing! Our dogs loved staying with her, many pictures and love all weekend- would definitely recommend!

Programa
I make my own schedule and work as little or much as I like, so have plenty of availability for your pet. I do offer discounts for more than two pets for doggy daycare. The sooner you let me know of your need the better, but I do take immediate clients when available.

I can come to your home or bring your pet to mine. I live in a townhome in the city with a small gated backyard. None of the neighbors nearest me have dogs. Animals are allowed on furniture in my home. They’re my guests. I prefer to walk in woodsy areas but if you prefer your animal stay on paved surfaces that’s fine too.

What activities I’ll do with your pet will depend on how long I’ll be with your pet and what type of pet. For dogs getting more than just a walk, I’ll work on basic commands, let them play with a logic puzzle, fetch. For cats I’ll use string/ribbon. Lazer pointers work great for both. I’ll look to you for suggestions on what specific activities your pet likes but especially if you have a different type of pet. I enjoy hiking so it’s possible they’ll join me for one or two. Last but certainly not least as much cuddles and pats as they like.

- Please let me know if your dog is reactive to anything (strangers, small animals, thunder). If they have any specific needs, allergies. I also would like one other contact person in case I cannot reach you.
