My dog of ten years that passed had a special diet for a sensitive stomache, I had to wash her bedding more often. Even though she was a small breed I still took her on walks. As she entered her golden years I frequently took care of accidents, put her in diapers, took her to the doctors for her stomach and her anxiety. Gave her medicine to ease her ailments. I do the same for the animals in my care, make sure they are loved and cared for the way their per parents outline for me. Down to walks, play time and special food requirements. Our fur buddies deserve care for the unconditional love they give us.

Please let me know ahead of time what your dogs needs are. Such as any medical needs (incontinence, teeth/ear/eye irritability, open wounds ect.) any changes in mood or behavior (more anxious, more lax ect). As well as if they have new behaviors that I should keep an eye out for. (Obsessive scratching, or fixations. Things of that manner.)
A typical day
I will provide what you suggest is best for your pet and work within those parameters. If your furry buddy likes walks, I can take them on walks in your neighborhood. Or we can explore a new walking path. I like to engage in play, so fetch, tug of war ect.

Pet care experience
(Just to clarify that headline is from Frozen.) I'm a former dog owner and I loved my elderly dog till she passed. I've also pet sat for multiple families over the last five years. I'm familiar with high anxiety dogs, dogs with diet restrictions, I've house sat for multiple dogs and cats. I also recently helped feed and home a stray mama cat and her kittens over the summer. I approach with calm, confidence and joy. Its important to me that when I first meet an animal, the critter feels safe to approach me in their own time. Some animals can be anxious so I try not to be over stimulating.

Shania has been really, really amazing with Milton and his struggles with PTSD and anxiety. She is patient, compassionate, and incredibly attentive. Shania took the time to build trust and make Milt feel safe. Her care has made a really big difference, and we just can’t recommend her enough.

Shania was an amazing dog sitting for my anxious older dog. She had great communication and patience when meeting her and kept me updated throughout the entire stay. My dog is very anxious and Shania made it much easier for Lily and made her so comfortable. She took Greta care of Lily and will be using her in the future.
Shania was amazing to work with; she took great care of our dogs and was communicative and quick to respond to our messages. She sent lots of pictures and updates on how the dogs were doing while we were away.
