I am currently a University student studying Animal Behaviour and Welfare. I do advise you to book a meet-and-greet with me so I am not a stranger to your pet before my scheduled pet sit, that way your pet can feel comfortable with me in your home while you are away. During the summer (mid-June to late September) I can offer commitments to booked pet-sitting clients, and anyone who would like a pet walker/visiter. This also applies to the Christmas and Easter period (mid-December to mid-January, and mid-April to the end of May).

I am DBS checked, and have a full driving licence. . I am currently a University student studying Animal Behaviour and Welfare. Upon request, I can offer training in areas you would like while caring for your dog. I walk them to suit your dog's needs and schedule, multiple times a day if that is your dog's usual routine. This however, is weather permitting because of dangers such as heatstroke which can be deadly. Food suited to your dog can be given to them, plenty of toilet breaks outside & lots of love and cuddles if they are the cuddly type. I am also very aware of the current rise in dog thieves and take extra care especially when out walking.

Please let me know of any special needs your pet may have: their dietary schedule, their routines & Command words. Medication needs or any physical limitations i.e. arthritis. Behavioural issues. Grooming requirements for coated breeds. This ensures I am well-equipped to look after your pet while you are away.

Physical and mental stimulus with; behavioural training, exploring out and about, sniffing games, ball games, plenty of cuddles, affection and company. I also make sure there is cool down time, to calm them and make sure they’re not left while in a hot state, especially if they are crate trained. I do this before I leave or when it is time to settle down for the night.

I have always had a passion for animals, especially dogs since early childhood, after my mum brought home our family dog Mojo a sprocker spaniel. Since then I have wanted to put this energy into a business. I have lots of hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, ages & temperaments, from chihuahuas to vizsla, and some of the stronger breeds known to be stubborn such as Akitas. All dogs will be treated with the same love and respect I treat my own.

Both our dogs are happy and content and clearly have been well looked after and enjoyed themselves with Shania. Our oldest boy is I’ll at the moment and we needed a very special, confident and diligent person to take him on-and Shania did this knowing we would be pretty far away with a 8 hour time difference. I highly recommend Shania to look after your pets.
Our Mici felt so happy and comfortable with Shania which made our wedding day so much more enjoyable knowing she was safe at home. The flat was left in immaculate condition and she even left us a card and wedding present. We will absolutely use her again and would recommend her to anyone! Thanks again Shania 💖
Shania stepped in during the course of our summer holiday, our usual sitter was only available for the first 10 days of our trip which left 4 to be covered. I feel taking over from someone else, on your first stay with a new dog more of a challenge than a normal sit, Shania met this with confidence and quality. We cannot thank Shania enough for her support, our dog Paisley is no easy dog she suffers with anxiety, is on medication and has a training program in place, all of which did not phase Shania. She communicated with us beautifully during the sit and we had a 6 hour time difference to consider but again met with ease. Upon returning home, Shania was there to greet us and hand back over, the bond that she had developed with Paisley was evident. HIGHLY RECCOMEND.
Shania is a wonderful pet sitter who took excellent care of our sprocker. Right off the bat when we first met her we got an excellent first impression. She is very warm and friendly and was great with him. When we came home after our few days away he was relaxed and happy and so were we. Would highly recommend Shania.
