This was my second time booking with Shania and she was great with my Maine Coons both times!
Shania was such a great sitter! I have 2 Maine coon kittens that I was nervous to leave overnight unsupervised. Shania clearly loves cats and knows a lot about taking care of them. She made the whole process super easy and the kitties took to her almost immediately. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!
Shania was very communicative and took very good care of my dog while I was away!
Shania was truly the best dog sitter I have ever had in a while! She gave me a morning and evening update, just the right amount. She showed Duke so much love and affection that he was *almost* hesitant in coming home. Definitely hope to use her again!!

Schedule
I have a fairly flexible job that will allow me to do daily/weekly check ins as needed. I live in the West Village area but frequent uptown/ St. Thomas daily

I try to be mindful and respectful of the dog/cat and what they may need. If they need some play time or to get energy out I’ll be sure their needs are met. Along with food and water needs and cleaning up after them of course !

A typical day
A typical day with me is calm, structured, and focused on what your pet needs most—routine, attention, and comfort. I always start by making sure they have fresh food and water, a clean space, and a quick check-in on how they’re feeling. If I’m doing a drop-in visit, I’ll take time to connect—whether that’s play, a walk, or just sitting nearby if they’re shy. I move at their pace and follow any routines you leave for me. If I’m house-sitting or staying overnight, I make sure your pet feels safe while you're away. That means sticking to their schedule, keeping their space clean, and giving them plenty of company and affection (if they want it). I also keep you updated with a quick message and a photo or two so you can relax knowing they're okay. Every pet’s different, and I’m always happy to adjust my day to match what yours needs most.

- Before I care for your pet, I always like to know a few key things to make sure they feel safe and cared for: Daily routine: Mealtimes, walk times, litter habits, energy level, etc. Behavioral notes: Are they shy? Protective? Reactive on walks? Do they get nervous when you're gone? Medical needs: Medications, allergies, or anything I should monitor. House rules: Are there areas they’re not allowed? Do they get treats or need to stay off furniture? Emergency contact: Vet info and who to reach if needed. I’m happy to follow your instructions closely—just let me know what helps your pet feel most at home when you’re not around.
