I have been around dogs since I was a child. I grew up with service dogs and training dogs. I believe in being firm with doggies but never hitting them or dragging them if they don’t listen. Shania was truly the best dog sitter I have ever had in a while! She gave me a morning and evening update, just the right amount. She showed Duke so much love and affection that he was *almost* hesitant in coming home. Definitely hope to use her again!!

Shania was absolutely wonderful with my cat Denver. You can tell she genuinely loves cats and cares deeply about them. She gave him plenty of play time, cuddles, and all the love I could hope for. It helped me feel at ease while I had to be away. I truly appreciate her!
Shania is just lovely! She’s responsive, sent updates and gave my pup someone to hang with and love on while we were moving all our belongings into a UHaul. If we were staying in Dallas, I would use her consistently. She’s wonderful!

Schedule
I have a fairly flexible job that will allow me to do daily/weekly check ins as needed. I live in the West Village area but frequent uptown/ St. Thomas daily

I try to be mindful and respectful of the dog/cat and what they may need. If they need some play time or to get energy out I’ll be sure their needs are met. Along with food and water needs and cleaning up after them of course !

A typical day
A typical day with me is calm, structured, and focused on what your pet needs most—routine, attention, and comfort. I always start by making sure they have fresh food and water, a clean space, and a quick check-in on how they’re feeling. If I’m doing a drop-in visit, I’ll take time to connect—whether that’s play, a walk, or just sitting nearby if they’re shy. I move at their pace and follow any routines you leave for me. If I’m house-sitting or staying overnight, I make sure your pet feels safe while you're away. That means sticking to their schedule, keeping their space clean, and giving them plenty of company and affection (if they want it). I also keep you updated with a quick message and a photo or two so you can relax knowing they're okay. Every pet’s different, and I’m always happy to adjust my day to match what yours needs most.
