I work from home as a freelance grant writer and consultant, which gives me a flexible schedule and makes it easier for me to fit pet care into my day. I’m usually able to work around your pet’s needs, whether that means drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, walks, or giving them some company while you’re away. I also have one teenager at home who is very independent, so my schedule is not tied up with young children or a rigid routine. Because I’m local and have flexibility during the week, I can be dependable and responsive when your pets need care.

I’m happy to come to your home to care for your pets where they feel most comfortable and secure. At this time, I’m not able to board pets in my own home. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to follow your instructions closely and keep your pet’s routine as normal as possible. I’ll make sure they have fresh food and water, clean litter boxes or potty breaks, walks or playtime as needed, and plenty of attention based on their personality and comfort level. I’m also respectful of your home and will be careful with keys, doors, gates, feeding instructions, medications if needed, and any safety rules you provide. My goal is for your pets to feel safe, cared for, and loved while you’re away, and for you to feel confident that they’re in responsible hands.

Pet care experience
I’ve loved and cared for animals my entire life. I grew up with both a dog and a cat, and as an adult, I’ve had cats of my own and have cared for both dogs and cats for friends, neighbors, and families while they were traveling or needed extra help. I also have hands-on experience fostering cats, volunteering with a cat rescue, and feeding community cats in my neighborhood. Because of that, I’m very comfortable with different pet personalities, from playful and social to shy, cautious, or independent. I understand how important it is to be patient, gentle, reliable, and attentive, especially when pets are in their own home, and their people are away. I’ll treat your pets with the same care and kindness I would want for my own.
