I am a homebody who prefers to be curled up on my couch (or yours) with the fur babies. I work part time and there is flexibility to work from home if your pet needs more frequent bathroom breaks. I have two cats of my own, so if I am hosting your pup, they must be OK (or at least indifferent) with cats. For new clients I would request a meet and greet before booking to ensure everyone is comfortable. I typically go on longs walks everyday and if your dog is willing/able I would love to have them join me! I grew up with a dog and three cats and now have two cats of my own. I’m super affectionate so your pet will get tons of attention, play time, belly rubs, head scratches, walks and treats (per owners instructions). I am also happy to stay in your home (or do drop-in visits for cats or walks for dogs) to care for your pets if that is more preferable. I prefer to stay near the Sedgefield neighborhood (within a 10 minute drive) so I can get back and forth to my own cats daily. I am a non-smoker, quiet, neat freak so your home will be kept neat and tidy while you are away. With that being said I am particular about where I would consider staying and would want a clean/tidy/safe place and would require a meet and greet prior to booking.

As always, Shane took great care of our cats and our home. She also kept us updated on the random shenanigans they got into. They adore her, and we’ll definitely be rebooking her the next time we travel.
Shane is the best! She did a wonderful job caring for our 2 cats, and they adored her. When a storm knocked out our power, she was in constant contact on figuring out a solution. We will definitely be booking her in the future!

We had a great experience with Shane. She was very responsive to our initial request and kept us up to date while we were gone. We came home to a spotless house and happy pooch. We also loved the daily photos.

Schedule
Pet care is already a part of my daily routine as I have 2 cats. I am a homebody so will always be around for meal time and anytime I’m not at work (currently working part-time and it’s flexible to work from home). I typically go on a 4 mile walk everyday (summer - early morning; winter- warmest part of the day) and if your dog is willing/able I would love to have them join me!

Safety, trust & environment
First and foremost I will follow all owners instructions regarding each pets individual needs and personality quirks. If out on walks dogs will remain on a leash and I will also follow owners instructions regarding interaction with other dogs, people, children. If hosting your pup at my home, extra attention is paid to how they interact with the cats and if there is any question on either side then I make sure they are separated and never left alone together.
Pets
A typical day
I typically go on a 4 mile walk each day (mornings in the hotter months, warmest part of the day during the colder months) from my house to Freedom Park and through Myers Park/Selwyn area or around the Sedgefield/Dilworth neighborhoods. If your dog is a breed that is up for that excercise then I would love them to join! If it’s a smaller breed or older dog then my complex has tons of green grass for them to sniff or if we are staying at your house I will follow whatever route they are familiar with or if you prefer them to stay in a fenced yard we can do that too. For kitty cats I will be sure to get some play time in as well with whatever toys are their favorites or if they just want snuggles and head scratches I am good with that too!
