Hey there! I'm Shane, a lifelong animal lover. I speak English and mostly work witg English speaking clients. When I was 10, we adopted our long-haired white German shepherd mix family dog after the 4th of July. Since college, I've gained 7 years of experience in pet sitting, walking, and boarding for friends, family, and clients. I was a devoted Dog Dad to my pup Zero and Cat Dad to our black cat, Lucky. I've also worked with platforms like Trusted House Sitters, and I'm excited to join Rover. My love for animals extends beyond cats and dogs; it includes reptiles and fish. I had my own fish when I was a kid and would be delighted to care for any scaly friends. I have experience with many dog breeds and approach each animal without discrimination, prioritizing mutual comfort. To ensure the best care for your pets, I require an in-person meet and greet for all new clients. This 30-minute session is to discuss your pet's routines, preferences, and needs, handle key exchanges, and other details. It's also a great opportunity to see how your pet and I interact. Please note that there's a $5.00 fee for key returns after bookings if delivery is required. I pride myself on understanding animal behavior and respecting each pet's boundaries. Whether it's a high-maintenance pet or one with special health needs, I'm committed to providing positive, tailored care. Your privacy is important to me. I aim to respect your personal space while ensuring your pet's safety and happiness. You can expect excellent service and peace of mind during my visits, which I'll document through detailed Rover cards and plenty of photos. My services include: - Drop-in visits (30 or 60 minutes): Comprehensive care, including litter box maintenance, feeding, playtime, and house checks. - Walks (30 or 60 minutes): Using only regular leashes and considering weather conditions for your pet's safety. Shane was great with my kitty. He was reliable, sent lots of photos, and made me feel at ease. Awesome communication.
Our cats were well taken care of and they loved him. Great communication, got many pictures of the kitties aswell as updates.
Shane was an excellent communicator and kept me informed of all the visits and how they went. Unfortunately my dog did not warm up to his presence and refused to walk when he came over. This was a unique behavior for my dog but no reflection on Shane as a caring Rover participant.
Shane is very reliable and took time out of his day before my trip to meet my dog Loki when I was nervous about leaving for the weekend. Shane prioritizes your dog’s well-being and makes sure he’s prepared to keep your pet safe and well cared for while you’re away. He is attentive and patient. He will create a sweet connection with any dogs that cross his path.
Shane walked my dogs while I was working from home. They loved him so much. He was really great and patient with my older dog who is usually slow to trust new people. I highly recommend him to all! I will definitely be booking with Shane again regularly
Shane watched my two dogs already a couple of times, and they fell in love with him. Seeing the joy in their eyes and their wiggling tails every time I hand them over into his care gives me the peace of mind that they are having a blast spending time with him.
