Basic information – your dog’s name, breed, age, and gender 2. Health and care needs – any medical conditions, medications (including schedules), allergies, or dietary restrictions 3. Temperament and behaviour – personality traits, as well as any fears, anxieties, or signs of aggression 4. Daily routine – feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any important habits or preferences The more I know, the better I can create a safe, comfortable, and personalized experience for your dog.
A typical day
During their stay, your dog will enjoy plenty of physical and mental stimulation tailored to their energy level. This can include walks, runs, and nature or trail outings, as well as playtime in the yard with games like fetch. They’ll also enjoy social time with our family, including our friendly house dog, Houston—a 4-year-old Boston Terrier—along with my husband and myself. We provide a balanced environment of activity, companionship, and relaxation to help your dog feel right at home.

With years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds and sizes, I understand how important individualized attention and consistent routines are. Every dog has their own personality and needs, and I take the time to ensure they feel secure, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I am passionate about what I do and committed to giving your pet the love, attention, and exercise they deserve—whether it’s a short visit, a walk, or an extended stay in my home. To maintain a peaceful and low-stress environment, I only take one or two dogs at a time. This allows me to provide focused, one-on-one care and a more relaxed experience for your pet. I also welcome puppies, including those who are not yet spayed or neutered. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priorities.

Shanda was amazing with our senior girl! She provided lots of updates and pictures while we were away, and we felt really at ease knowing Lana was so well cared for. Would definitely recommend Shanda and would book with her again!
We are loving the doggy day care service Shanda provides, our Thrasher gets excited and we noticed he is little less hyper when he sees her.
Shanda is calm, knowledgable about breeds and dog behavior. It was our first time leaving Ollie for more than a day in years and I had no hesitation. Her own dog is fantastic and has exceptional manners. He made the stay even more fantastic for Ollie. Shanda is attentive in the care she provides and obviously enjoys her work with dogs.
