I proudly serve the Prince George area and am dedicated to providing a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for your pet. With years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds and sizes, I understand how important individualized attention and consistent routines are. Every dog has their own personality and needs, and I take the time to ensure they feel secure, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I am passionate about what I do and committed to giving your pet the love, attention, and exercise they deserve—whether it’s a short visit, a walk, or an extended stay in my home. To maintain a peaceful and low-stress environment, I only take one or two dogs at a time. This allows me to provide focused, one-on-one care and a more relaxed experience for your pet. I also welcome puppies, including those who are not yet spayed or neutered. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priorities.

This was my guys second time with Shanda and he was so excited to get there when we arrived for drop off. Jasper is just part of the family when he stays with Shanda which leaves me feeling so relaxed when I’m away! Shanda is also incredibly responsive with communication or changing needs, and when my flight got changed last minute she was more than accommodating!
Our dogs absolutely love staying with Shanda and Houston! They are so well looked after, and we pick them up happy and tuckered out every time. 10/10 service!
Shanda took such great care of my dog Kylo when I was away on holidays! She met him prior to my trip to make sure it would be a great fit for him, as well as their family, while I was away and that made me even more relaxed leaving him - knowing that he'd be happy there! She sent videos of how he was doing and that meant the world to me since I was missing him like crazy. It was super important to me that Kylo was in a place where he'd feel like he was in his second home and Shanda provided that in every way. I can't thank you enough for that :)
As always, our dogs were very well taken care of. They love going to Shanda’s house for their own little holiday! 5 stars all around!

We had a wonderful experience with Shanda ! She took the time to meet our puppy beforehand to make sure it was a good fit and immediately made us feel comfortable. She walked our dog, worked on training and crate training, and provided lots of updates, photos, and videos while we were away. She is incredibly knowledgeable about dogs, very welcoming, and clearly cares about the animals she works with. We highly recommend shanda and would happily use her services again! Tara

Schedule
I’m home during the day and evenings, so I have lots of flexibility to work around your schedule. I’m also happy to offer pick-up and drop-off in Prince George and nearby areas for added convenience.

I also provide regular updates, so you can feel confident and reassured while you’re away.

A typical day
During their stay, your dog will enjoy plenty of physical and mental stimulation tailored to their energy level. This can include walks, runs, and nature or trail outings, as well as playtime in the yard with games like fetch. They’ll also enjoy social time with our family, including our friendly house dog, Houston—a 7 year-old Boston Terrier—along with my husband and myself. We provide a balanced environment of activity, companionship, and relaxation to help your dog feel right at home.
