Basic information – your dog’s name, breed, age, and gender 2. Health and care needs – any medical conditions, medications (including schedules), allergies, or dietary restrictions 3. Temperament and behaviour – personality traits, as well as any fears, anxieties, or signs of aggression 4. Daily routine – feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any important habits or preferences The more I know, the better I can create a safe, comfortable, and personalized experience for your dog.
A typical day
During their stay, your dog will enjoy plenty of physical and mental stimulation tailored to their energy level. This can include walks, runs, and nature or trail outings, as well as playtime in the yard with games like fetch. They’ll also enjoy social time with our family, including our friendly house dog, Houston—a 4-year-old Boston Terrier—along with my husband and myself. We provide a balanced environment of activity, companionship, and relaxation to help your dog feel right at home.

I proudly serve the Prince George area and am dedicated to providing a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for your pet. With years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds and sizes, I understand how important individualized attention and consistent routines are. Every dog has their own personality and needs, and I take the time to ensure they feel secure, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I am passionate about what I do and committed to giving your pet the love, attention, and exercise they deserve—whether it’s a short visit, a walk, or an extended stay in my home. To maintain a peaceful and low-stress environment, I only take one or two dogs at a time. This allows me to provide focused, one-on-one care and a more relaxed experience for your pet. I also welcome puppies, including those who are not yet spayed or neutered. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priorities.

This was our second booking with Shanda, but first for doggy day care and Thrasher seemed to enjoy being with her!
Our dog stayed with Shanda for the first time and came back a very happy (and tired) dog. Shanda provides a great environment for dogs with lots of yard space to roam and have fun and a clean and tidy home for the animals to relax in. I received regular updates which I greatly appreciated and felt extremely comfortable leaving our dog with Shanda while I was away. I would highly recommend and have already booked the next sitting.
Shanda took the best care of our hounds! They had a great time on their vacation and we were sent lots of updates throughout. Thank you Shanda for taking great care of our beagles!
Shanda was great for taking our high-energy Thrasher for a walk, she provide a tip on his harness too which is great to know! Thrasher seemed to enjoy so we looking forward to the next.
