tldr: we’ll sit, we’ll stay, we’ll play! Hey there, we are Shana “Shay-nah” (she/her) and Ryan (he/his). For over 6 years, we have been happily serving the pet parents of greater Portland (AKA the muddy paw capital of the world!) From mastering pill pockets to literally herding cats, we absolutely love providing personalized and attentive care for your four-legged family members, and know how important it is for you to feel that your family and home are well looked after while you are out. We want to make this experience as stress free as possible because travel can already be stressful enough! We specialize in overnight pet sitting, but we’re also happy to do drop in visits and walks. I (Shana) work remotely, so I have quite a bit of flexibility to give bonus potty breaks, snacks, and snuggles throughout the day. This does, however, mean we request to have adequate internet coverage if we will be staying in your home. Rest assured, your fur babies are in safe hands with us, we know that your pets are beloved members of your family, so we will always treat them with the utmost care and attention. We also know that every animal is special and unique, so we are happy to accommodate any special needs or requests. We highly enjoy making new friends and celebrating their unique personalities - our experience is not limited to dogs and cats - we have loved looking after chickens, lizards, fish, rodents, and we will (try to) keep your plants alive too! Constant care requests: please note if your pets can’t be left alone for at least 3 hours at a time, this is considered “constant care”. We are happy to provide round the clock care, but we charge double (x2 our nightly rate) so that we can clear our schedule and provide the level of care you are looking for. If you are new to Rover or a new client, here is how the process typically goes for pet sitting: - Depending on your preference, we can schedule a video or in- person meet and greet. (No meet and greet is also an option, we just request written instructions). - At the meet and greet (or in provided instructions), we’d love to know a typical daily schedule, feeding instructions, any care or medical requirements, how often you’d like pup-dates, and if there are any allergies or food sensitivities we should be aware of. - After the meet and greet and everyone is happy, we lock in dates 🙌 - (If you would like us to come again for some additional intros before a longer stay, feel free to book some extra walks or drop in visits) - Often, we finalize arrival and departure details when it’s closer to your departure date, but that can be done at any time.
