I have rescued, rehabilitated as well as been owned by many animals of of many species. Experience with special needs & medication administering. I love animals, as I have worked as a veteranary nurse for a hospital in Durham. I have experience with exotics, all sizes, all ages, all kinds. I am comfortable in all settings and environments. I strive to make sure all clients needs are met per requests. I love the happy of dogs and horses. I enjoy being outdoors with animals, rain or shine. Being active is important. I am happy being around animals. I have 2 young adult sons, whom are excellent with all animals, and have moved out on their own now. One plans to become a surgeon and the other son plans to become a veterinarian. We love all kinds of life and help others every chance we get. It is not likely they will be around while I am house sitting for you. I have had a Rover account for a long time & it was just my sons & I. While I used to offer all services, at this time I am only offering house & pet sitting in your home. After the death of our beloved dog, i am not ready for a new dog but i still love being around dogs & all animals. My youngest son has a mini potbelly pig that is around 90 pounds, indoor only, uses a litter box, well behaved, loves dogs and cats, his birthday is October 2018. However, Mr Piggles moved out with my son and his gf. And Ember kitty moved in with her mom & dad, my oldest son. I have not pets of my own & will not be adopting any. I work hard to make sure your beloved pet is in as familiar environment as I can provide. I make sure that I learn as much about your routine as possible, as well as your normal behaviors, temperament, tone of voice, energy and everything else that is the norm for your family when it comes to your pet(s)/ animals. That way I can mirror all of that to the best of my ability so they feel as at home as possible, whether they are in mine or yours. My goal is that while you are away, their (and your) stress is low & you can rest easy knowing your animals are well taken care of & very well loved. While your sweeties are in my care, the daily isn’t just sitting around or in a kennel bored or sleeping all day, unless that’s their happy place of course. There is a lot of interaction between myself & them. You see, the facts of animals sitting someone else’s animals are this…. no matter how amazing your pet is for you or for someone else, every situation & every day will always be different. It may be our first time together & they don’t know me yet. It may our 10th time together & they are feeling extra clingy to mom or dad because there was a storm recently or they saw the vet or you’ve been home more often & they’ve become accustomed to that. No matter what the situation is, all animals experience some level of stress when their person(a) leave for any period of time & that stress often increases the longer you are away. That is where my specialized knowledge, support & skills comes in very handy. I am always working very hard to make sure your dog, cat, horse, ducks, chickens, goats, cows, exotics, etc are as comfortable as I can possibly make them. This is a 24 hour job for a good Animal Care Provider such as myself. I strive to love your animal as an Aunty would, like family. So that when you return home or to pick them up, they are happy to see you & they’ve eaten fairly normal, & their stress levels are not super high & they don’t have intense anxiety about you leaving them.
