My husband and I have had the pleasure of parenting several rescue dogs for 33 years and counting. Our current pup is a Ratchi (50%Rat Terrier & 50%Chihuahua). Each rescue has taught me something new and precious about the human-pet bond. I have done both personal and professional pet sitting off and on for the past decade and have been with Rover full-time since 2022. Customized pet care experience includes overnight stays at the pet’s home, dog walking, cat drop-ins, and administering oral medications. I have extensive experience with a variety of dogs and cats, from extra large to pint-sized, from super-chill to high-energy, seniors to young bucks, and always enjoy the process of gaining their trust. Additionally, I have professionally cared for chickens, freshwater aquarium fish, bunnies, and small reptiles.

My first priority is the safety and well-being of your furry child. I rely heavily on detailed instructions from pet parents in order to provide optimal pet care. Candor is very much appreciated! Completion of your pet's Rover profile, including a photo, greatly helps to ensure all details are tended to and also feel free to include a screen shot of any pre-written instructions. Scheduling a meet-and-greet at your home prior to booking ensures that we are a good fit and sets up your pet for a successful and positive petsitting experience.

Shana was wonderful with our dog, patiently working with him through his separation anxiety, earning his trust and making Milo a very happy, well cared for dog! Shana communicated easily any questions and provided updates daily. And, our house was immaculate upon our return. Thank you, Shana.
Shana was super attentive and kept me well informed of all the goings on with the pups while I was away. She did an excellent job with their semi-complicated schedules and some ongoing medical needs. I really appreciated all the adorable photos she sent too. Would definitely book with Shana again!
Shana is really learning Milo’s language. He is developing trust in her, which he can be slow to give. Shana communicates clearly, has helped me figure out how to use Rover, and has been flexible when I had a last minute change and she was available.
Shana is terrific. She’s very responsive to my pups’ needs, recognizing that they’re a bit out of sorts when their mom leaves them. She was especially responsive on this last stay which included the 4th of July. One of my pups is incredibly reactive to fireworks, and Shana went above and beyond to help her. I also really appreciate the regular sending of pics which make me more comfortable that they’re doing well.
Shana was amazing with our 2 cats!! I cannot recommend her enough. She followed all instructions, was super accommodating with last minute changes, and provided detailed updates. Both cats got a lot of play time too, which was super important to us. Shana, thank you so much for all your help!! Cats were healthy and happy when we got home. 😻
Shana cared for our cats on a recent weekend trip and she was very communicative and responsible. Detailed updates and photos mean a lot to us, as we are newer pet owners, and Shana did an awesome job of this! She put us at ease. :) They are looking forward to seeing her next time!

Schedule
I update my availability on the Rover calendar daily. Depending on my current roster of clients, I can make 1 to 3 trips per day for dog walking, kitty refreshes, medication administration, playtime, etc. Please know that I am able to do overnights only if your pet is entirely comfortable being left alone for 4 hours (total maximum per day) during the day as this ensures optimal quality time and availability between existing clients within my service area. I typically leave my calendar open during overnight bookings for 1-3 dog walks and/or drop-ins for existing clients. Booking at least 1 month in advance for overnights during summer and winter holiday seasons is highly recommended. Should we decide that we are a good fit after an initial meet-and-greet, confirming your booking request on Rover will lock your reservation on my Rover calendar and prevent double bookings.
