Pet care experience

Be the person ur dog thinks you are

Hi! I’m Shalesa, a lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I grew up around dogs and currently have two fur babies of my own, Laila and Deuce, who are a huge part of my family. I previously worked as a receptionist at a veterinary clinic, where I gained valuable knowledge about pet care, health, and safety. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I have regularly pet sat for family members and friends over the years, giving me experience with puppies, adult dogs, senior dogs, and dogs with different temperaments and needs. I understand that every dog is unique, and I strive to provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment while you’re away. Whether your pup loves playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I’m committed to treating them like one of my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member!

Ms. Shalesa did an amazing job caring for my puppies! From the moment we met, I could tell she genuinely loves animals, and that gave me peace of mind. She kept me updated, treated my pups like they were her own, and they came home happy, healthy, and well cared for. She’s professional, reliable, and has such a warm personality that makes the whole experience even better. It’s easy to see why pets are comfortable around her. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again, and I’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their furry family members. Thanks again, Ms. Shales you’ve definitely earned a repeat customer!

If I had to describe Miss Shalesa in 1 sentence, I’d say she’s the ULTIMATE dog mom, a true animal advocate, and one of the warmest most genuine souls I’ve ever met. She is literally the first person people call when they find a stray dog, need a temporary foster home, or have any question about a dog’s health, behavior, or what to do in a certain situation. If it involves a dog, everyone knows to CALL SHALESA!!! What makes her special is that she really does treat dogs like they’re humans. If ‘crazy dog lady’ was a person it would be her. She respects their personalities, pays attention to what they’re trying to communicate, and goes out of her way to make them feel safe and understood because this is something she desires personally from the world around her. I joke that she knows how to speak dog because she has an incredible ability to connect with them. My own fur baby is extremely needy and anxious and requires a lot of adjustments from whoever is caring for her. Shalesa is the only person I trust to watch my dog without spending the entire time worrying. I know she’ll be loved, advocated for, and cared for as if she were Shalesa’s own. Beyond being amazing with animals, she’s compassionate, responsible, patient, and dependable. Anyone who entrusts their pet to her can feel confident they’re leaving them in the best possible hands.

Shalesa has watched my dog several times at my home and hers. My dog is hyper active & requires close attention & Shalesa has never let me down . She also updates with hourly pictures.

Shalesa is a loving, caring, responsible pet care giver. I’ve never seen her meet a dog she doesn’t adore or doesn’t adore her. She’s a dog mom of 2(Ace and Laila) and she has them spoiled rotten. She even pet sits for me, her sister, and other friends from time to time. She loves dogs so much she even works at a local pet clinic. She treats every dog she meets as her own. Shalesa would be excellent candidate of employment at Rover!

I currently work full-time Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, I have the flexibility to come home during my lunch break for potty breaks, walks, feeding, and check-ins if needed. Outside of work hours, I am available for morning, evening, and weekend care. I strive to keep pets on their normal routine and make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, love, and care while their owners are away. 🐾💕

Pets

A typical day

A typical day starts with a nice morning walk and some outdoor time. Afterward, we come back inside for playtime, enrichment activities, or, depending on the weather, a trip to the dog park. Once everyone has burned off some energy, it’s time to relax and enjoy a treat before settling in for the afternoon. In the evening, we head out for another walk, followed by dinner and plenty of cuddles and attention. My own dogs, Laila and Deuce, are trained to eat once daily and have established bathroom routines, but I understand that every dog is different. I am happy to follow your pet’s regular schedule, including multiple feedings, medication administration, additional potty breaks, crate routines, and any special care instructions to help them feel comfortable and at home while you’re away. 🐾💕
