Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I have consistent availability throughout the week. Because I manage my schedule from home, I’m able to provide reliable care, maintain feeding and potty routines, and give pets the attention and supervision they need throughout the day. I plan my days around the animals in my care, ensuring they receive regular exercise, structure, and a calm environment. I’m available for drop-ins, and walks, and I communicate clearly with pet owners to make sure expectations and schedules are met. While I do have some family commitments, I keep a structured and organized routine, which allows me to be dependable and consistent for both pets and their owners.

A typical day
We have 5 acres I walk with the dogs. I also will walk around our large mountain “neighborhood” full of new smells, sights, and sounds. Food puzzles are a favorite treat here!

I have years of hands-on experience working with dogs of all temperaments, including anxious and reactive dogs. I previously owned and operated my own dog grooming business, where I learned how to read canine body language, handle dogs safely, and create a calm, low-stress environment. I’ve also spent extensive time studying dog behavior and training methods, and have applied that knowledge raising and socializing my own dogs as well as a litter of puppies using structured development techniques. In addition to dogs, I’ve fostered multiple litters of kittens, including those needing medication and close monitoring, so I’m comfortable caring for both young and vulnerable animals. What sets me apart is my ability to truly understand animal behavior—I don’t just supervise pets, I actively observe, anticipate needs, and respond appropriately to keep them safe, comfortable, and happy.

Shalee has always been super attentive when it comes to caring for dogs! She has gone above and beyond to learn about dog training and behaviors, and she can groom pets too! She made my dog feel at ease as soon as she saw him, she paid attention to body language while our dogs met, and made my dog feel like one of her own. Any pet will be welcomed into the home like another member of their family!
Shalee is the best with pets of all kinds! She truly does care for animals even when they aren’t her own. When leaving your pet with someone most people worry but I know if Shalee is watching my cat he is in the best hands and I don’t t have to worry!
We have had Shalee help with our dog several times over the past 3 years, and would recommend her to anyone with a fur-baby! Shalee has a natural gift to love animals and connect with them--I'd even go as far as to say our dog prefers her over us sometimes! She is great at attending to details, and you can rest assured your pet is in good hands when working with her. Her only downfall is she moved too far for us to continue working with her! So if she lives near you now, you're in luck! I'd hire her in a heartbeat!
