Pet care experience
We have been watching dogs on Rover for years and it is a joy. I especially appreciate forming relationships with the ones that keep coming back. As a former preschool teacher, I have found with dogs as with children, relationship is what matters most. Its what helps the pups feel comfortable in a new place. We will do everything we can to help your dog feel comfortable including lots of cuddles and exercise. We have a ranch house with a very large naturalistic fenced yard - lots to smell. FYI the fence is four feet tall. Everyday I also go for a walk or a run. Exercise is important for their, and my, well being. I generally work from home. If I plan to be away for more than a few hours I will let you know in advance. We look forward to meeting and making friends with your pup :)

Shakti and Andrew were awesome with our Aussie boys!!! They are so nice and truly care. We got lots of great photos/updates and the boys got lots of exercise and love when they were there. Thank you both!!
Shakti was so easy to work with and took great care of my dog! He was a happy camper coming home and I’m sure will be excited the next time he is dropped off at her house. I will absolutely book again.
Shakti is fabulous with the pups and has a great space for boarding.

I only take dogs from one family at a time to help them feel comfortable. I have one friendly dog. We have a number of beds and couches the indoor dogs can lounge on. The basement renter has another friendly dog who is sometimes in the yard. This makes for fun outdoor playtime :)

Let me know if there are any concerns or special needs. I've worked with dogs who are on special diets, take medications, need injections, should not run etc.
A typical day
Everyday I walk the dogs. On most days I will also run any dogs who are up for it. We generally walk around the yard. I most often run in Belmar Park but sometimes drive to Bear Creek or other natural areas. The rest of the day I work on the computer, do household chores or do yard work. They tend to enjoy puttering around together.

Availability
I work part time from home so I will have plenty of time to play with your pup. Bou tends to eat about 8AM and 5PM. I exercise with the dogs once or twice mid day. Otherwise they are free to roam in the yard. Often I join them doing yard work. We have a dog door so they can roam freely.
