Typical Day: I love to get to know each pet and what they enjoy! For dogs, that’s usually playing catch or getting outside to smell all the scents. For cats, that may mean watching a bird video on my phone or playing with their favorite toy.

Pet care experience
While I recently decided to make my pet sitting services official through Rover, I bring over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all ages, temperaments, and needs. From raising my own dogs and cats in their playful puppy/kitten years through their senior stages, to extensive volunteer work with animal shelters, caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life. I’m especially experienced with anxious pets, and I’m comfortable administering medications and providing senior care for both dogs and cats. Friends and family often refer to me as the “dog/cat whisperer” because of my ability to quickly build trust with animals of all personalities. I pride myself on being dependable, observant, and detail-oriented, so you can feel confident your furry family members will be safe, loved, and exceptionally well cared for while you’re away. Whether your pet needs extra patience, specialized care, or just lots of love and attention, I treat every animal as if they were my own. I’d love to meet your fur baby!

Shaina is a pet lover and is one of those people that animals seem to just know they can trust. She has taken care of my 3 cats and I’ve never needed to worry when I was traveling. My super shy cat comes out to greet her right away and my cranky elderly cat even lets her give him his meds. Before I ended up with 3 of my own, I fostered for a cat rescue. I often had three or four young kittens and she’s one of the few people I trusted to care for them. Of course liking animals is only part of the job. It’s vital that when you are trusting your pet as well as your home to someone that they are mature, reliable, and professional. Shaina has never fallen short of my expectations. Having piece of mind while away from my “babies” is priceless and I have that with Shaina as my pet sitter.
