Hi there! I live an active lifestyle and love including pups in my daily routine whether it’s long walks, playtime, or just lounging together during the workday. I work from home, which means I can provide flexible, around-the-clock care and easily adjust to your dog’s unique needs and schedule. I like to think of myself as the “favorite aunt” your pup can’t wait to visit someone who gives lots of love, keeps things fun, and makes sure they feel safe and cared for. I’ve gained hands on experience raising my Goldendoodle, who I’ve cared for since she was just 6 weeks old. Through that experience, I’ve learned how to meet the needs of dogs at every stage from energetic puppies to calm adult companions. I also spent time working at my local pet store, Loyal Companion, where I gained even more insight into dog behavior, nutrition, and care. Whether your pup is playful, shy, energetic, or mellow, I’ll make sure they feel right at home and have the best experience possible while you’re away.

Shaela was a great last minute booking after an issue with my schedule. My dog enjoyed his time with her. I think a bit more communication and check ins would be good but I think she had quite a few pups in her care so I was more patient!

I was very nervous because I never left Niko with anyone before. I got a new job that requires me to travel more than usual. When I requested service, not only did she respond via app but she called me directly. Made me feel very comfortable. I decided to use Shaela and she kept me updated with pics and videos the entire week. I will most definitely use her again if available next time. Niko came home happy and healthy and thats all that matters 🙂
Shaela watched our dog and was excellent from the very beginning. She was proactive with communication, asked thoughtful and thorough questions, and made us feel completely at ease. Before we even booked, she called us right away, which gave us a lot of confidence. During the stay, she consistently sent updates, and it was clear our dog was in great hands.
Shaela was AMAZING!!!!!! Very last minute I had to go to the hospital and she was able to take my sweet boy for the weekend. She communicated well and followed directions of care!! My sweet boy came home happy and healthy. Thank you Shaela!!!!

Schedule
I work from home full time. I can provide care to your pup around the clock. I have a pretty flexible work schedule and do not mind adjusting my schedule to meet the needs of all the pups I provide care for.

I live in a one bed room apartment with ample space for indoor play. I have ample toys and beds around the home to keep fur babies comfy and entertained. My apartment is in close proximity to three different dog parks that your fur baby may enjoy.
Pets
A typical day
I am typically an early riser and will complete my morning tasks while the pup is getting their beauty rest. Once the pup is awake, we will take a walk around South Loop venturing to one of dog parks or The morning will continue with breakfast and some chill time in the apartment. My dog particularly enjoys taking her dentals chews and morning nap on the sofa. Depending on the age and needs of the dog, I will take the pup on another short work to potty. We will end of day with another long walk and play session before dinner.
