Hi! I'm Shachel. I have grown up having dogs my whole life (as well as some other animals too). I have done some volunteering for a few years with the Kootenai Humane Society. I was involved in outreach events where we would take dogs that were available for adoption out into the community to show them off and find a forever home! When I was going to college, I didn’t get as much of a chance to do the volunteer work that I used to which was hard until I started Rover in 2017. I have experience with puppies as we had six in our house at one point! I have senior dog care and dogs with disabilities experience as well. I do not do boarding at my house, as our two rescue dogs do not like strangers.

I care for pets in your home by feeding, watering, walking and playing with them. I also cuddle on the couch (if that is allowed) or will cuddle on the floor. I will tell them what good babies they are and how handsome or pretty they are. I sometimes sing to the pets if they are anxious or sad as well.

Shachel always takes such good care of my two cats when I’m away! And always alerts me of any issues. We appreciate her so much.
Always such a pleasure having Shachel hang out with our boys while we are away. I never have to worry, I just know they are in good hands. We love working with Shachel, trust her completely!
We’ve had Shachel dog/housesit now probably 5 times. She is our first choice every time and we’ve actually planned trips around her availability. She is clean, respectful, and cares for our home and dog as if they are her own. Highly recommend

Schedule
I graduated in 2022 from college. Now my schedule has most week days, nights and weekends available. I am currently doing Rover full time and I plan to do Rover, if not full time, then at least part time for the foreseeable future. I may need to leave for a little while during the stay for appointments and such, but otherwise my schedule is open and flexible.

- I would like to know what the dogs usual routine is, and if there is anything special or specific that they need (ex. Medications). I want to know what their personality is like on walks or with other dogs. I also want to know if there is other animals I will be taking care of. If I am feeding, watering and cleaning up the poop, it will be an additional charge of $10.
